Did you know today is
This day is all about showing appreciation for our pets. If you have a pet, you might like to treat them to something extra special today to show how much you love and care for them.
Being around animals whether that be our own pets (often referred to as companion animals by people who prefer terms which place less emphasis on ownership of animals), volunteering at rescues, getting out into nature, or looking after someone else's pet can have a significant impact on our mental health.
Animals have many amazing qualities such as their ability to be mindful, calm us down if we are feeling stressed and their often undevoted love and attention.
If you like being around animals and or want to know about the impact that they can have on our mental health, you might find our animals and wellbeing course interesting.
This course explores the domestication of animals, whether animals can think, feel and understand human emotions and the human and animal bond. It discusses the various ways that animals can be influential in people’s lives and their recovery as well as providing famous examples and personal experiences.
