Today (13th of November 2025) is World Kindness Day.

Do you think kindness is a skill, a behaviour or an emotion? Something you’re just born with or a choice you have to make time and time again.

We have a range of courses that look at love and kindness from a number of different angles.

As how you respectfully but effectively live with other people:

As part of your spiritual practice:

As something that is good not just for others, but for you too:

The course looks at all things negative thoughts and what can help us to deal with them.

This online course has been developed in partnership with ARCH Recovery College which has recently ran its own course exploring negative thoughts.

We would like to say a big thank you to Peter Swan, one of the peer trainers at ARCH Recovery College, for all of his input.

We’ve also worked on this course in partnership with an NHS consultant clinical psychologist working in adult mental health, which we are very grateful for.

The course covers:

• Negative self-talk (the inner critic).
• Things that can help people to deal with negative thoughts.
• The link between negative thoughts and suicidal thoughts.

Does the change in weather affect your mood?

Many people experience changes in their mood due to the changing seasons, such as
• Feeling energy levels drop.
• Changes to sleeping patterns.
• Changes to eating patterns.

All of which is very normal and common. It might be due to something called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This is a type of depression. It is more apparent during certain seasons. It is often referred to as ‘winter depression’, as symptoms can often be more severe during the winter months.

If you think you might have Seasonal Affective Disorder, we have some useful information. This includes what SAD is and what can help you.

Did you know that there's a page on the website where we share people's real life experiences and stories of their mental health? It might be a story about their diagnosis and how that affected them. It might be a story about finding hope in the darkness. Or it might about what gave someone meaning and purpose.

We've recently shared Rob's story about living with his diagnosis of Depersonalisation-Derealisation Disorder (DPDR) - so why not head to the website and have a read?
