One of the reasons I stopped doing past life regression was because at times, it brought in a couple of deeply spiritually narcissistic people and not many, but definitely enough.

People who were far more invested in looking 'spiritual' than actually being grounded. The whole “love and light” new age image, dressed head to toe in curated softness, speaking as if they were pure love, above everyone else, somehow more awakened, more special, more chosen.
... but actually underneath that it did not always feel honest, safe or emotionally mature to me and sadly thay kind of energy really put me off.

Real spiritual work to me has never been about appearing angelic or dressing up purity in white linen and soft words and it is not about performing enlightenment.

It is not about ego hiding behind incense, aesthetics and spiritual language.

It is about your own truth, humility and being able to sit with yourself honestly.

It is about how you treat people when nobody else is watching.

It is about depth, responsibilit and real inner work.

Past life regression was one of the only things I offered that seemed to occasionally draw in that sort of performative energy and I reached a point where I simply did not want to hold space for it anymore and so I stopped and not because I do not believe people can have profound experiences, but because I became much more protective over the kind of person and energy I allow into my space.

I am never here for spiritual ego dressed up as love and light, i am here for grounded people, real people, people willing to do the work without needing to cosplay being “pure love.” and honestly that feels far cleaner and safer to me 🤍

Some parts of Usui Reiki Ryōhō ask for more than information.

They ask for stillness, trust, the right space, and time to really receive. For this Shinpiden training, I took my students into the woods because the deeper teachings should be felt, not rushed. This path has always meant a lot to me, and I hold my students with real care every step of the way.

Some parts of Reiki are better taught this way.

For this Shinpiden Reiju, I took my students into the forest. Away from noise, away from rushing and into something more honest.

The deeper teachings of Reiki need space and they need the body to fully let go and the mind to quieten enough to really receive.

As a Usui Reiki teacher I put a lot of care into how I hold my students. Not just the teaching itself but the whole experience. The environment, the pace, the feeling of safety, the depth and the intention behind every part of it and that matters so much to me.

Shinpiden is not something I treat lightly. It is a deep part of the path and when I guide students into that level of Reiki, I do it with respect, love and real presence. I want them to feel held, grounded and properly guided, not just taught information.

For me the training never really ends on the day itself. My students know they are deeply valued. That is why I created the Dojo, so there is ongoing support, continued practice, community and a place to keep deepening together.

That sense of connection matters as Reiki was never meant to be rushed through and left behind and this is the kind of teaching I believe in. Grounded, thoughtful and deeply felt.

Some things are taught in words and some things are understood in stillness.

Sunday is not a day to panic about Monday it’s a day to come back into yourself a bit.

To put your phone down, open the window and get outside if you can.

Make proper food, sit quiet for five minutes and let your body catch up with you.

You do not need to earn rest today, you do not need to fill every hour and you definitely do not need to have next week worked out by teatime.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is stop forcing, stop scrolling, stop rushing and just listen to what you actually need.

A slower day is not a wasted day. A relaxed day is not a lazy day. It might be the very thing that gets you through.

So if today needs to be simple, let it be simple and that is truly enough 🤍

Introducing TSUKI.

This is something I’ve been creating behind the scenes and it feels very different to anything else I’ve offered before.

TSUKI is not an extension of lots of existing products and it is not the beginning of a huge range. Its the opposite.

This collection has been created to be refined, intentional and very considered, with just two products at its core.

A room spray.
A daily face oil.

Two products that sit beautifully within the world I’ve already built, but with their own identity entirely.

TSUKI means moon and for me this brand reflects calm, ritual, elegance and quality. It is about creating products that feel beautiful in your hands beautiful in your space, and deeply aligned with a slower, more thoughtful way of living.

This is not a rushed launch, and I am not interested in putting things out for the sake of it. Everything is being developed carefully and professionally tested and I’ll share more when the time is right.

For now, this is simply the first introduction and I can't wait to share.

... for me this work has always been something I hold with great care.

I am an integrative therapist and Usui Reiki teacher and everything I offer at Holistic Care Durham is grounded in ongoing learning, professional integrity, lived experience and deep respect for the body, mind and nervous system.

I do not take lightly the trust people place in me when they come for support 🫶

My work is not about using impressive language or following trends. It is about listening carefully, working skillfully and meeting the whole person with presence, knowledge and compassion.

I work with the body as an interconnected system. That includes the nervous system, fascia, anatomy, emotional holding, protective patterns and the many ways life can be carried within the tissues of the body over time.

Even my facial work is approached in this way. It is not superficial, it is deep intentional therapeutic work that can help the body soften, regulate and release what has been held through the face, jaw, scalp and surrounding tissues.

I believe this path asks for humility, not ego.

The more I learn, the more I understand how much depth there is to this work and that is why I will never stop studying, refining and deepening what I offer.

My clients and students deserve care that is thoughtful, skilled, grounded and real.

That is and always will be, the standard behind my work 🤍
