In Loving Memory of Charlie Wilkinson
(of New Brancepeth)

Charlie passed away on 13th March, aged 19 years.
Much loved son of Carl and Lynsey, cherished brother of Tommy and Kasper, and a loving grandson, nephew and cousin and a friend to all.

Funeral service to take place at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday 15th April at 2pm.

Donations in memory of Charlie may be given after the service for
Butterwick Children’s Hospice.

New Brancepeth club will be open for people to raise a toast to Charlie and remember good times shared.
Carl, Lynsey and the boys will not attend, instead they will share a private afternoon to remember Charlie in their own way.

Charlie’s Lap of Honour:
Charlie will be take one final journey through his beloved village where he had many friends.
The cortege will leave form Charlie’s home in Doric Road and go down through Braunespath Estate, turning left onto Waltons Terrace and Rock Terrace, and left again up to New Brancepeth Club. The cortege will continue through Pringle Place back to Doric Road to leave for the funeral.

In Loving Memory of John Wilson
(Of Ushaw Moor, formerly of Fencehouses)

John passed away peacefully on 19th March, aged 81 years. Beloved husband of the Late Pauline, a much loved dad of Joanne and the late John, dear father-in-law of the late Peter, cherished granda of Sophie and the late Victoria, brother of the late Rose, a loving uncle and friend to many.

Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Monday 13th April at 10:30am.

Donations may be given after the service for Cancer Research UK.

All welcome for refreshments at The Duke Of Wellington afterwards.

(of Meadowfield)

Alan passed away peacefully in Willowburn Hospice, on 24th March, aged 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Vera and friend to many.
Alan was a proud member of Blind Veterans UK and Guide Dogs for The Blind.

Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Thursday 16th April at 11am.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be given after the service for Guide Dogs for The Blind.

Friends are welcome for refreshments at Browney Club afterwards.

Maxine Davies
(Of Meadowfield)

Maxine passed away peacefully at home on Friday 20th March 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Maxine was the beloved wife of Gerald and a dearly loved mother of Julie, Susan, Paul and Pauline.
She was a cherished mother-in-law to Beverley, a much loved Grandma to Chloe, Henry, Jak, Aaron, Will and Lloyd and a dearly loved sister to Lyn and Bill, and loving friend to all.

A service to celebrate Maxine’s life will be held at Durham Crematorium on Monday 13th April at 1pm.

Everyone is also welcome to join the family after the service for refreshments at The Kings Lodge, Waddington Street, Durham, DH1 4BG at 2pm.

Donations in memory of Maxine may be given after the service for St Cuthbert’s Hospice

Harry, of Brandon, passed away suddenly on 19th March, aged 61 years.

A dearly loved son of Sheila and the late James, much loved dad of Morgan and Jenna, dear brother of Pam, Stephen and Jason, brother-in-law of Ken, Dawn & Elaine.

Funeral service to take place in St. Patrick’s R.C. Church on Friday 17th April at 11.00am followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.
