Salus Medical provides advanced medical training, Medics and First Responders and supplies medical cover to events throughout the North East.

All the Salus Medical courses fulfill the criteria of UK legislation, HSE and Pre Hospital care requirements. Our Instructors, are highly qualified Paramedics and Combat Medical technicians, have many years experience in front line emergency medical care and all have recognized teaching qualifications. Salus Medical is an addition to Salus First Aid Training. We can also supply Medics, First Responders and First Aiders to support many different events. Everyone should be able to . We come to work to help people, not to be abused or assaulted.

Unfortunately one of our crews last night whilst providing cover in Darlington Town centre was assaulted by someone who they were trying to help.

Our thanks to the door staff Neil and Josh from Locomotive Security Group who were at The Quays and came to our immediate aid, Darlington Borough Council CCTV control room and Durham Constabulary for attending and removing the offender.

Our staff member wasn't seriously hurt and choose to continue the night supporting those enjoying the Night Time Economy of Darlington Town Centre.

We will not stand for any assault on our staff and will support them through the processes.

Over the weekend we received some feedback from a family member of a patient we treated as part of our service to Darlington Borough Council for the Night Time Economy.

We do love to read the feedback we receive and pass this onto our staff. We have redacted some parts for confidentiality of the patients condition.

'I wanted to reach out to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible support my family and I received from two members of your team, Shane and Anika, last night in Darlington town centre.

They went above and beyond what I imagine their usual role requires (being first support) offering not just medical support, but genuine care, reassurance, and calmness in what was such a scary situation!

They are an absolute credit to your team, and I hope they receive the recognition they truly deserve for their compassion and professionalism.'

Until further notice we don't have the use of Number 40.

But fear not ...

We will be a short distance away on the junction of Blackwellgate and Skinnergate opposite Number One Bar, supporting the town centre and the NightTime Economy (NTE) utilising one of our vehicles until Number 40 is available to use again.

We can be contacted via the pubwatch radio system by venues around the town.

Due to issues within Number Forty this weekend we have had to temporarily relocate into one of our vehicles.

We are a short distance away on the junction of Blackwellgate and Skinnergate opposite Number One Bar.

We are still available via the pubwatch radio system if required.

We hope to be back into Number Forty next weekend but will update with any changes.

What a day for our operations manager to be out giving his time free of charge to support a fundraising day for Tiny Lives Trust in Wallsend. This charity not only helped him and his family earlier in the year but also his cousin and family last year.

If you want to pop along and support this fundraising effort it is at Richardson Dees Park in Wallsend from 1100 till 1400.
