DARC laboratory

DARC laboratory We are a technology facility based in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Durham.

We offer access to 3D laser scanning, 3D printing, colourimetry, EDXRF, FTIR, SEM/EDX, XRD, ICP -AES and -MS for use by academia and industry. We are also involved in method and equipment development and provide consulting to make research more accessible to the public.

Adafruit motor control shield for Arduino arrived yesterday, thanks to Squirrel-Labs. Successfully employed python to talk to the board and turn a 9v DC motor on and off. The motor is to drive the rotating stage in our 3D laser scanner.
