My name is Beth, I'm a final year pharmacy student at Newcastle University, most of you will know me from Whitfield's in Murton where i have worked as a student for over 7 years!

My research project this year is based around certain drugs and medicines and their effect on hearing. If you have 5 minutes spare today, I would be very grateful if you could participate in my survey.

STEP IT UP for vascular disease awareness month

Exercise keeps us all fit and healthy, and for patients with vascular disease it can be particularly important. Patients with peripheral vascular disease can improve their symptoms and ability to mobilise, by undertaking at least 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week!

STEP IT UP for vascular awareness month

Eating a healthy diet is good for us all; however it can also reduce your chances of developing vascular disease. A good balanced diet not only keeps your weight under control, it helps reduce your cholesterol levels, helps keep your blood pressure under control and also reduces your risk of getting diabetes. A high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes are all risk factors for vascular disease.
