Someone told me I should be “constantly advertising on social media” … so if by “advertising” they meant “mentioning in passing that I’m a counsellor/therapist in Newcastle” and by “constantly” they meant “about three times a year” then I’m absolutely nailing it.

Other therapists may not like me saying this, but a lot of what we can help you with is often (for whatever reason) wrapped up in unfamiliar or alien language.

A tiny example, I’m a big hairy Geordie from the rough end of Newcastle, what do you think I thought the first time I heard the term “mindfulness”? Sounds like hippy dippy pseudo-religious nonsense - not for people like me.

The thing is, “mindfulness” just means “noticing stuff”. Don't let language put you off doing something helpful.
