Let’s celebrate today the Father that Western Medicine considers (even if often dubbed) as the “Father of Medicine”: Hippocrates.
Today, when people are still struggling to manage health and fear, I would like to remember what this physician taught not only to people of medicine but to everyone something very valuable.
He taught, among many teachings, some simple principles that I consider fundamental.
"The human being consists of a soul and a body”
"Illness results from an imbalance of bodily fluid which are naturally balanced and that can have to be restored to balance to be free form illness”
“Eating the wrong food can cause imbalance of the fluids and so food is the first medicine”
So, I’m thinking… if our soul, full of fears, is trapped in a stagnant body, how can we move forward in difficoult times and find health and harmony? We can’t do it. So we have to start from the real basics and go back to what the old tradition taught us as well: eat the products of our land with no industrial transformation, pure as they are, so that food can became the medicine that frees us again, free from fear and stagnation. If our body is stagnant, our soul is stagnant and our mind is stagnant. We are not able to think freely. But if our body is free from stagnation, then our soul is free to manifest itself.
