Have just been sent this photo of where I will be swimming tomorrow!
This is where my Grandad and his brothers grew up and swam… I’ve always wanted to swim here but couldn’t find any info about it… so I reached out to RNLI Flint Lifeboat - expecting a yes / no answer but instead they explained there’s only a few times a year it’s swimmable these days & offered to meet and be my safety cover at a suitable tide! I’ve been blown away at their kindness; I’m hoping this swim will raise awareness of them and maybe some folk would be kind enough to repay their kindness with a donation to the RNLI??

Aww this has just popped up on my personal page.. 9 years ago Chris Sifleet from Inchbaggers Loch Lomond Island swims was coaching me & needed an extra hand for the IISA GB event… a whole new world opened up & we’ve all come so far since then!
