Aww this has just popped up on my personal page.. 9 years ago Chris Sifleet from Inchbaggers Loch Lomond Island swims was coaching me & needed an extra hand for the IISA GB event… a whole new world opened up & we’ve all come so far since then!

The European Ice Swimming Championships took place in Molveno, bringing together 32 nations, over 500 athletes, and nearly 2,000 race starts across five days...

Well, where to start?! Molveno you were the highlight of my career.
First thank you to Leon Fryer for putting my name forward and Ram , François and Michał for taking a chance on me!
It has been such an amazing week learning from each other and from the amazing swimmers, and to start to build plans for the future.
What a privilege to be able to chat with legends such as Josef Koeberl and Peter Stoychev amongst others.
Thank you to Tig for bringing your nursing expertise into recovery and being an invaluable help along with Diego and Kerstin from IISA Germany.
Thank you to all the International Ice Swimming Association for your co-operation and humour; looking after you has been a joy.
Special thanks to the Irish, Estonian and Belgian teams for your kindness and craic. And the ref from IISA Poland 😆😆
Thank you IISA Great Britain - it is a HUGE privilege to be part of the team, and I’m so bloody proud of you all. Medals and records galore!

And last but not least to my sista from another mista and partner in crime Streamline Medicals - I have a feeling there’s a bright and chaotic future ahead 😆

Was an amazing day today, but the highlight was the local primary school kids who came to watch, their excitement at high fiving the swimmers, and the smiles on the swimmers faces!
Hope these make it back to the swimmers ☺️
