On Friday, I was honoured to perform a small blessing of Dorothy’s - the first EVER dedicated LGBTQIA+ space on the Isle of Wight.

The vision and hard work of the Q***r & Now team is truly amazing and inspiring.

And it’s SO deeply powerful it is when we intentionally open a space with love, presence, and care….when we stand in circle, to honour the land and the ancestors, to speak blessings of safety, courage, belonging, joy and pride into the walls… it was profoundly moving.

May this space be a true sanctuary —
a home for chosen family,
a place of laughter, creativity and connection,
a place where no one has to shrink or hide who they are.

I’m so grateful to be asked to hold moments like this.
Thresholds matter.
Ritual and ceremony matter.
How we open spaces matters.

Blessed be this hub, and all who will pass through its doors. There’s no place like home 👠 🌈✨

Full moon blessings to you. The most potent way to use the current moon in Ta**us energy is to slow alllll the way down….

My ancestral altar is so much bigger than 2 years ago 😔 but I enjoyed lovely cups of tea with my mum and grandma this morning. Blessed Samhain everyone ♥️

I hosted a beautiful Samhain gathering last night, as we gathered to welcome and honour our ancestors. There was laughter, tears, release, reclamation, and magic.

Here’s a few simple ways you can honour your loved ones this Samhain (although, honestly, you can do this at any time, you don’t need a special day!)

🕯️Place a candle on a north facing window sill - as you place the candle, tell your loved ones you are open to them visiting. The candle is said to show them the way.

♥️Make an altar to your loved ones. It doesn’t need to be fancy. Place photos, cherished items, something to eat or a cup of tea, perhaps. And sit at your altar and talk to them - tell them everything you would want them to know. This is a really good way to gently process grief - let your emotions flow.

Set an extra place at the table for them - have a dinner with friends and family, and set extra places, share stories and memories.

Write a letter to your loved one - tell them everything you want to say, good or bad. Sometimes it’s easier to get things off our chest once the person has transitioned. This will help you on your own grief journey, and I really believe it facilitates healing with those in spirit too.

And remember - don’t be afraid to cry, scream, shout, show your emotions. Honouring our ancestors helps YOU to heal and work through grief as much as anything else.
