Happy Sunday to all my followers! ☀️
This post might not resonate with everyone, but hear me out…
Everywhere I look today I see International Women’s Day being celebrated. As a woman myself, I recognise how fortunate we are to live in a time where women have far more rights and opportunities than in the early 1900s.
That said, I’ve always felt a little conflicted about having a specific day dedicated to women when the ultimate goal is equality. For me, equality means we don’t need to separate or spotlight one group over another—we simply recognise that everyone has equal value.
Instead, I believe we should all just be proud of who we are. Stand tall, hold your head high, and know that you are capable of achieving just as much as anyone else. None of us are better or worse than one another—we’re all unique, and we each have our own role to play in this incredible universe.
The one “woman” I personally feel deserves celebration every day is Mother Nature, for giving us this beautiful world where we can truly be ourselves. 💕
That said, this isn’t about telling anyone not to celebrate International Women’s Day. Everyone is free to celebrate what matters to them—this is simply my personal perspective.
