Acorn Lodge Newsletter
June/July 2019
After Easter celebrations, we are now awaiting a summer party. We have celebrated Eid, which is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan. Also, Father’s Day was celebrated, and we wished all our dads at Acorn Lodge a happy Father’s Day.
We will be holding a care home open day on the 28th of June from 10 to 4pm, where visitors are welcomed to meet our residents and staff and discover what our home is all about. Activities taking place that day will be an arts and crafts exhibition, a visit from the local mothers and toddlers’ group, musical entertainment by our residents, Andrew and Brian. Soft drinks and cakes will be served on the day.
The Ukulele band will continue to entertain us with their amazing music on 25th June and our residents look forward to tap their foot to their tunes.

After a very tiring month, staff are set to enjoy a barbecue party organised for them at Acorn Lodge. We will have some good time munching on sausages, lamb chops and chicken strips and perhaps a glass of wine!
We are all looking forward to our Garden Party on Saturday, 13th of July. There will be a raffle with 21 prizes up for grabs (Please get your tickets early!), live music, snacks and drinks. All of you are invited to join us on the day between 2 – 4 pm. This event will be attended by the East Grinstead Mayor Cllr Danny Favor.
