Amazing moves from Adidas 👏🏻
They’ve recently introduced a single-shoe purchase service, allowing people who only need one shoe to buy just that - rather than having to purchase a full pair.
For individuals with limb differences, amputations, or certain medical conditions, buying two shoes has often been the only option, which can be frustrating and expensive (not to mention wasteful!).
Small changes like this help make everyday things more accessible and inclusive.
Love to see it! 👣
Adidas has introduced an innovative in-store option that allows customers with leg limb differences to buy a single shoe instead of a full pair 👏
Launched on 19 January, this service is now available in adidas stores across 22 European countries. Those needing only one shoe can select their preferred model at 50% of the standard retail price.
The program was developed with direct input from the community to ensure it truly addresses their needs. Adidas collaborated with organizations like ParalympicsGB and Harder Than You Think, the creators of the Paralympic documentary Rising Phoenix, to design a solution grounded in real-life experiences.
This initiative reflects adidas’ ongoing dedication to making sport accessible for everyone. In recent years, the brand has also expanded adaptive clothing for wheelchair athletes and increased its focus on inclusive design, particularly ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
