Friday Cuppa with Lesley.
This week's pose is one of my favourites (for anyone who didn't know!)
Pigeon Pose (Kapotasana)
The benefits of practicing Pigeon Pose in yoga include:
1. Opens the hip joint and stretches the hip flexors, thighs, gluteals, and piriformis muscles.
2. Improves flexibility and mobility in the hips, which can alleviate tightness from prolonged sitting.
3. Stimulates internal organs, aiding in digestion and potentially helping with urinary disorders.
4. Reduces back pain and enhances overall posture by stretching the lower back.
5. Promotes emotional release and relaxation, contributing to a sense of peace and surrender.
These benefits make Pigeon Pose a valuable addition to any yoga practice.
