Instagram has led us to believe that only intense, visually impressive, acrobatics are Pilates.

This is simply not true.

And it scares most people away!

Or it attracts people for the wrong reasons - aesthetics only.

Well, guess what?

Pilates can look like this: small, gentle movements aimed at making you move and feel better 🤍

Let’s focus on what this practice makes us feel in our mind and body, rather than how it looks for reels.

If you’re looking to move with more integrity, strength and mobility, send me a dm and let’s book in some 1:1s ✨

Social media has done a great job of making Pilates look aesthetic, effortless, and a little bit cute.

And there’s nothing wrong with enjoying movement.

But Pilates — the method — was never designed to be fast, flashy, or entertainment-led.

It’s precise.
It’s repetitive.
It requires attention.
It asks you to notice what’s happening in your body, not just move through shapes.

If what you’re after is high energy, constant variety, and a sweaty vibe, there are classes designed exactly for that.

But if you want to understand your movement, refine the details, and build real control over time — that’s Pilates 🤍

I have limited availability for 1:1 sessions if you’re ready to learn it properly. Message me to chat ✨

The Wunda chair is a very very humbling piece of equipment.

Actually, it’s probably my favourite!!

Fantastic for strength and stability based exercises and feedback 🤍

People who train hard often focus on what they’re doing.

Pilates asks a different question: how are you moving while you do it?

That’s where efficiency, control, and confidence in your movement grow 🤍

Pilates works underneath your training — supporting how your body moves, manages load, and recovers over time.

If you want to move better in the training you already do, I have limited availability for 1:1 Pilates. Message me to chat ✨

Join us for a joyful, sassy, feel-good Pilates class inspired by the iconic 90s and 00s movie soundtracks that defined our girlhood. This 75-minute session is designed to bring women together to move, laugh, and feel supported — all while building strength, mobility, and ease in the body.

We’ll begin with gentle grounding and mobility to settle into the space, before flowing into uplifting Pilates sequences that focus on strength, control, and movement that feels good rather than forced. Throughout the class, we’ll weave in opportunities to stretch, mobilise, and release tension, creating a balanced practice that energises and restores.

The aim is for you to leave you feeling lighter, happier, stronger and reconnected — like the end of your favourite comfort movie.

Expect a playful, nostalgic atmosphere set to a carefully curated playlist featuring songs from Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, Princess Diaries, Clueless, Mean Girls, Bring It On and other feel-good favourites from the era. Think sing-along moments, rom-com montages, and pure girls-night energy.

This class is about more than Pilates — it’s about community, confidence, and having fun together.

You don’t have to rely on group classes alone.

1:1 sessions can sit alongside what you’re already doing — offering personalised support, clearer technique, and space to really understand your body.

If this post resonates, I currently have a few spots available for 1:1 Pilates 🤍

Message me for current days and times available, or to chat about whether 1:1 Pilates is the right next step for you ✨

There’s been a lot of hot takes about Pilates lately — often coming from coaches who haven’t trained in it, practised it fully, or studied the method — yet feel confident defining what it is and isn’t.

That includes claims that Pilates is ineffective, or that Pilates instructors are telling people they don’t need the gym.

That idea misunderstands what Pilates actually is.

There’s a difference between having an (*cough* uneducated *cough*) opinion and actually understanding a movement method.

Pilates was never designed to replace strength training or cardio. It exists to support how you move — improving control, coordination, and efficiency so whatever training you do feels better and more sustainable long term.

If you haven’t trained in Pilates, it’s probably not yours to define 🤍

My goal has always been to help people combine Pilates with the training they already do — not choose one over the other.

Always happy to chat with anyone genuinely curious ✨

1:1 Pilates hits differently for a reason 🤍

The pace is adapted to you — more specific, more intentional, and tailored to your body, not the room.

Both group classes and 1:1 sessions have their place.

If you’re looking for personalised support, deeper learning, or a space to really understand how your body moves, 1:1 might be the right fit.

I’m always happy to chat if you’re curious ✨

The final workshop in our Seasonal Yin series 🧘🏻

Yin Yoga for Winter ❄️ at The Yoga Life Studio, Eastbourne

1:00 – 2:30pm, Saturday 20th December 2025

The Meridians (energy pathways) linked to Winter are the Urinary Bladder and Kidneys – the element of Water 💧

This will be a deeply supportive workshop – we will start with some grounding breathwork, followed by some activation of the Urinary Bladder and Kidney reflexology points on the hands / feet (with the option of using a specially made aromatherapy oil, using essential oils connected to this season), working our way into specifically chosen postures where we stimulate these meridians and finally a beautiful body scan and savasana.

Book via the website in our bio 🤍 or dm for the booking page

Saddle up for a fun and empowering 75-minute Pilates session designed to strengthen, lengthen, and stretch your body — all with the goal of achieving that confident cowgirl, rodeo queen posture. We’ll flow through movements that build core stability, release tightness in the hips, back and shoulders, and leave you feeling both powerful and graceful.

To keep the energy high, we’ll move to a playlist packed with today’s country favourites — from Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen, and Jordan Davis to Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Carly Pearce, and Kane Brown. Expect a mix of grit and grace: strong sequences, deep stretches, and plenty of smiles along the way.

👢 Country-themed outfits are always welcome — boots, hats, fringe, and all.

✨ No experience is necessary — just come along, join the fun, and rodeo with us!✨

🤠 After class, the ride isn’t over — you’re invited to mosey on down for coffee and cake in Little Chelsea (price of coffee and cake not included), the perfect chance to unwind, connect, and share some country-style community spirit.
