New class starting 5th March .vive.sussex

A 26&2 class can feel like a lot when you’re new, so we’ve created a Foundations class to give you more guidance and space to learn.

On Thursdays you’ll get clearer breakdowns, support with modifications, and the chance to ask questions. After a few weeks, you’ll feel more confident trusting your own practice… no matter what anyone else in the room is doing.

Not just for beginners, if there’s a posture you find challenging and want a bit more direction, this class is for you. We’re here to guide and support you.

Five years ago cacao was something I reached for when life felt heavy… a quiet ritual to reset.
Over time it became a little luxury.
Now? It’s a non-negotiable.

From living off grid in Greece questioning my path, to training while pregnant and craving both cacao and conversations about motherhood, this plant has gently guided me again and again.

Yes, cacao offers mental clarity, mood enhancement, antioxidant power, anti-inflammatory properties and is a beautiful source of magnesium…

But for me, it’s always been about more than the benefits.
It’s about connection.
To self.
To community.
To the hands that grow it.
If you’re exploring cacao, take your time. Try different sources. Do your research. Follow what feels aligned for you

Why mirrors?

At first, they can feel like a distraction.

You catch your reflection and the mind starts talking.

But in Bikram Yoga, the mirror isn’t there to look good, it’s there for awareness.

It’s just you against you.
A tool for alignment.
A tool for honesty.
A tool to help you learn to accept who you are, exactly as you are.

And over time, something shifts.
You see the strength.
You see the growth.
You see the changes…

Because you see yourself.

No day is the same and neither is your practice. Some days rolling out the mat is enough!

I didn’t understand all of this when I first started practicing…
I trusted my GP’s recommendation. I trusted the teacher who welcomed me onto the mat. And honestly? I just hoped, somehow, this might help.

Here’s some of what I’ve learned along the way 👇

We practice in a heated room (around 85–105°F / 29–40°C).
The heat can increase flexibility, support detoxification, and enhance cardiovascular performance.

Infrared heat may also help manage the body’s natural inflammatory response after intense exercise, reducing soreness and limiting excessive tissue stress.

Combined with mindful movement, this environment seems to amplify yoga’s stress-reducing benefits. Harvard Health (2017) reported that two studies on Bikram yoga found that after just eight weeks, symptoms of depression were reduced.

When you’re living with pain, it’s natural to feel low, lose hope, or feel frustrated. I certainly did.

Whatever brings you to yoga… recovering from injury, feeling a little low, working on fitness, or simply carving out time for yourself, you are welcome here 🤍

I sometimes forget how this journey started.

Endometriosis was debilitating, sickness, constant pain, waiting, missed moments, procedures and appointments, a season that felt heavy and hopeless at times.

What followed wasn’t a quick fix. It was showing up again and again, learning my body was trying to tell me something, changing how I nourished it and how I listen to it.

Healing isn’t a destination, it’s a practice. And I’m still practicing with new challenges daily. Little by little our capacity expands…

I can’t wait to share with you all where we are heading - this means full heat, mirrors and a real bikram experience!

It’s been 17 months you’ve followed me to 3 locations, each time improving on the heat, my dialogue and your strength and flexibility!

I’ve been really craving studio by the war memorial roundabout and we’re getting close with my own twist!

Not only that we’ll be able to offer more on the schedule and space for 1-2-1’s.

I’m extremely grateful for everyone’s support and encouragement, listening, brainstorming, helping me pivot and of course the help with Teddy. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the mindset shift and inspiring people around me. Big love x

Wherever you begin, you are welcome here

Some of us wobble on one leg,
some feel a little off balance,
and some get tangled in the mind, pushing the body further than it’s ready to go.

Yet, with consistency comes magic.

With understanding and acceptance of our bodies,
we discover a new way of moving, we stop performing,
show up in a gentler way... not just on the mat,
but in our everyday lives.

Things you'll hear me say in class that I really shouldn't...
"The left side, no the other left side"

Look, my brain doesn't always fire, especially after a long day.
But here's the thing: we're all human and perfectionism is overrated. Oh gosh, if I waited till I was perfect I'd never have started teaching!

What matters? We show up. We sweat. We laugh at ourselves. We push through it together.

Hot Yoga 26+2 isn't about getting it perfect, it's about getting it done. Even when your instructor doesn't know their lefts and rights 😅
