📝 About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Support Worker / Trainer to join and grow with our small, values-led care agency. You’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred support in the community and take a key role in helping to shape and lead our team – training others to deliver care the Bourne Support Services way.
This is more than just a support role , we’re looking for someone who can develop into the face of Bourne Support Services, representing our values and commitment to outstanding care, with the long-term vision of growing into a managerial leadership role.

🧩 Main Responsibilities
• Deliver person-centred care to individuals in their own homes
• Support with complex care needs and promote independence
• Mentor, shadow and train new care staff in line with service values and quality standards
• Assist in writing and managing staff rotas
• Liaise with payroll and use systems like FreeAgent effectively
• Perform spot checks, quality audits and support the development of a positive, proactive team
• Model outstanding care and uphold the standards aligned to CQC’s key lines of enquiry (KLOEs), including:

🔹 3-Month Trial Period
• Opportunity to demonstrate leadership, initiative and contribution to building the business
• Review based on performance, feedback, and team support
🔹 6-Month Review
• If progress is evident, hours and pay may increase
• Opportunity to step more formally into a leadership/managerial role
🔹 Long-Term Development
• If the individual does not contribute to business growth or meet standards, the role can legally end after the trial (this will be set out clearly in contract)

✅ Requirements
• NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
• Commitment to complete (or already working toward) Level 5
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• Experience delivering high-quality care
• Confident supporting others and promoting team culture
• Familiarity with rota systems and basic digital systems like FreeAgent
