We would like to thank all our wonderful staff and families for joining us for our annual Christmas party. The residents had a fantastic time dancing, singing carols. Playing Christmas bingo, candy cane fishing and toss the snowball.

There was so much love felt by all today and the part will certainly be a talking point for the residents over the next week. ☺️

We are certainly feeling festive today after a wonderful pub lunch at The ship, Meads, Eastbourne. The residents always enjoy a wander down for a glass of shandy and a bite to eat.
Trips out are so incredibly important for our residents wellbeing and also to keep them active!
We look forward to returning to The Ship soon for our staff Christmas meal! 🎄🎅

We are already getting into the Christmas spirit here at Camelot! The Christmas tree and decorations are up and the home looks fabulous!

A lovely wander over to the park this morning to make the most out of the rare sunshine this time of year! We had a great time talking about memories of walks when they were younger. The church and old hospital buildings next to the park are always a great talking point for residents too!

We also did some foraging to make some little centrepieces in the dining room. All the residents really enjoyed the lovely aroma of lavender 🤩

At Camelot, we love supporting our residents to stay as independent as possible. Because those little everyday moments really matter. 💛

Whether it’s helping set the table, watering the plants, or choosing what to wear, we encourage everyone to keep the skills that make them feel confident and proud.

Independence isn’t about doing everything alone, it’s about having the support and encouragement to do the things that make you, you. 💖

Today we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Lest we forget.

Thank you to St John's Church, Meads for the beautiful Remembrance Day service. Many of our residents spent time reminiscing over their memories of the war. It was a lovely morning for all.

This week we said Happy Birthday to our lovely Vera! She had a wonderful morning spent with her family then cake with all the other residents! Doesn’t that cake look tasty! 😋

We would like to say Happy Halloween from all the residents and staff at Camelot. The residents have had a relaxed morning watching Halloween movies 🎥 🎃👻

The staff also took the opportunity to dress up and did a smashing job with their costumes!

Today is national guinea pig day!

Our residents love having the guinea pigs in to visit! It’s always a great topic for discussion between them after they’ve left!

After the excitement of airbourne last weekend we decided to do some more relaxing activities. We had a shuffle of the lounge and everyone sat together to make some brownies and do some puzzles!

Baking can be surprisingly beneficial for older people—not just as a fun activity, but also for mental, emotional, and even physical health.
Along with puzzles being great for cognitive health and sensory stimulation. 🧈🥣🧩
