It ain’t over till… we go to the pantomime! 🎭

A small group headed to the theatre this past week for a proper laugh, a bit of shouting at the stage, and plenty of smiles all round.

Getting out into the community, sharing a joke, and enjoying a day like everyone else. Just how it should be.

The holidays may be over… but the music clearly isn’t 🎻✨

Violinist Miriam Eiselle came to Chaseley to keep the tunes going, and the room loved it.

Music is therapy here. It lifts mood, brings memories flooding back, and turns an ordinary day into something special. Christmas songs in January still work their magic.

Thank you, Miriam, for sharing your talent and your time 💙

Happy New Year to our friends, families, volunteers, supporters and staff!

New Year at Chaseley = loud tunes, silly costumes and staff right in the middle of it all 🎉

Our favourite nightclub DJs took over, the music went up, and suddenly everyone was moving. Wheelchairs rolling, hands in the air, big laughs everywhere.

That’s how we welcomed the New Year at Chaseley 💙

Over the holidays, while many were at home, the Chaseley team were here. 💙

To every member of staff who worked through Christmas and into the New Year, thank you! From care and nursing to catering, housekeeping, maintenance, and activities, you ensured these days were filled with warmth, good food, laughter, and moments that mattered.

For our residents, this time of year can be emotional. Your kindness, patience, and hard work made it special. We’re incredibly grateful for everything you do, every single day.

The days between Christmas and New Year are made for indulging… aren’t they? 🥟✨

At Chaseley, it’s not just the chef in the kitchen. Residents have been busy too, helping prepare a New Year spread packed with samosas, pastries, and other favourites. There’s been plenty of tasting, laughter, and teamwork along the way.

Cooking together is part of everyday life here. Good food, good company, and a proper lead-up to the New Year.

Ok, we promise — the last of our Christmas posts (for now at least!) 🎄😄

We had so much fun and couldn’t resist sharing a few more moments. The laughter, the food, the visitors, the dogs, Santa, and of course the elves — it all made Christmas at Chaseley something really special.

What was the best part of your Christmas?

By Boxing Day, we were still smiling — and still eating very well 😄

More guests, more wonderful food, and the Christmas spirit still going strong. Elves were everywhere, spreading smiles and a bit of mischief.

Full plates, happy hearts, and plenty of laughs ❤️

Christmas Day at Chaseley was full of friends, family and a bit of Christmas magic 🎄

We were joined by a very special guest — Santa himself — along with his beautiful elf and his two fabulous Christmas therapy dogs. Before visiting us, Santa and his furry helpers braved a freezing Christmas morning swim to raise money for the veterans’ charity Combat Stress. After that, they came straight to Chaseley to spread cheer and plenty of furry cuddles.

There was laughter, good company and lots of happy moments shared around the home. Days like this remind us how important it is to celebrate together and make space for joy.

Christmas at Chaseley was a good one ❤️🐾🎅

Christmas came early at Chaseley 💃🎄

Santa’s helpers, fairy lights, a packed dance floor – and even the Grinch was spotted dancing. Our Christmas dance had it all. Residents and our wonderful guests wheeled, twirled and clapped along as the music played, with carers and volunteers joining in from the first song to the last.

Festive jumpers, sparkly outfits, and more than a few dodgy dance moves made it a night to remember.

Moments like this matter. Music brings back memories, gets bodies moving, and shows that Eastbourne’s disabled community is full of life and fun.

What could be more Christmassy than the Salvation Army band playing Christmas carols? 🎺🎄
We were lucky to welcome them to Chaseley, filling the building with familiar tunes, big smiles, and plenty of toe-tapping. It was one of those moments that makes Christmas feel complete — music, laughter, and everyone singing along.
A huge thank you to the Salvation Army band for bringing such joy to our residents.

We added a little country flavour to our Christmas playlist this week 🤠🎄

The CasBar was filled with live music, drinks, and plenty of toe-tapping as residents enjoyed a relaxed evening together. A great mix of Christmas tunes with a country twist, good company, and lots of smiles.

Proof that at Chaseley, there’s always room to try something new.
