People in Wales can now track their NHS waiting list progress on the NHS Wales app🙌

The latest update lets people check their waiting list status, view hospital referrals and appointment details, and access information to help manage their health while waiting for treatment.

More than 650,000 people have already registered to use the bilingual app. The app aims to improve access to healthcare services for people registered with a GP in Wales and is a key part of the Welsh Government’s digital transformation strategy for healthcare.

🔊📨 Digital Appointment Letters are Coming Soon!

We will soon be introducing a new, more convenient way for you to receive hospital appointment letters.

Appointment letters will start being sent digitally, accessible directly on your smartphone, tablet or computer. This secure and environmentally friendly service will make it easier to keep track of your appointments, wherever you are.

✅ No more waiting for letters to arrive by post
✅ Access your appointment details anytime, anywhere
✅ Supports our efforts to reduce paper use

Prefer a paper copy? That’s absolutely fine, you will still have the option to receive letters by post if you choose.

Please note: This will be a phased rollout, so not all clinics or services will move to digital letters straight away.

You can find out more about digital letters on our website: https://orlo.uk/PSeeL

📢 Important Update

We wanted to let you know that we are changing our clinical system between the dates of 23rd February 2026 and 6th March 2026

During this transition period, things may take a little longer than usual, and some services might be temporarily slower while our team adjusts to the new system.

🙏 We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this change. Our staff are doing their very best, and we truly appreciate your support.
Thank you for bearing with us

We are currently contacting patients to confirm whether they still wish to go ahead with their planned appointment or treatment.

If you receive a text message from 'ABUHB' (Aneurin Bevan University Health Board) asking if you wish to remain on the waiting list, please be assured that it is genuine.

The message will include clear instructions on what to do next and a unique code to respond securely. It will not ask for any personal details – only for confirmation of whether you want to remain on the list or not.

What you need to do:
- Follow the steps in the text message.
- Use the unique code provided to confirm your choice.

Thank you.

We are seeing a significant increase of Norovirus cases across Gwent which is continuing to impact our services.

We are asking people not to visit relatives in any of our hospitals if they have been unwell with symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting, and only visit if they have been free of symptoms for at least 48 hours.

Thank you for your ongoing support this Winter.

Help prevent the spread of norovirus 🤒.

If you have symptoms:

🧼Wash your hands regularly with soap and water. Using a hand sanitizer won’t kill norovirus.
🚽 Use a separate toilet if possible.
⏰ Stay at home 48 hours after your symptoms stop.
