Most of my own practice doesn’t last an hour, mainly as I don’t have an hour most days!

I try to keep a space clear for a my yoga mat and when I find a space in the day I tune into what my body needs. Sometimes just gazing at a candle. 🙏

I recommend rolling around and tuning whenever you can, no experience necessary-your body knows what it needs! ❤️

As my teacher said, make an appointment with yourself - and show up 🥰

We are all doing the best we can with the resources we have, moment to moment. ❤️

When we live in a world immersed in judgement where how we appear to others is all consuming, using NVC to release ourselves is a wonderful sigh of relief. 😌

I am excited to start the second part of my AVP Britain facilitator training this week, an organisation that was founded using Non-Violent Communication (NVC) principles in New York prisons in the 1970s, with an aim to resolving the conflict that leads to violence.

I am awestruck at the impact that learning the language of feelings and needs, and removing judgements has. It really can revolutionise conflict in all types of relationships in our inner and outer worlds.

Remember it is all a work in progress. We’re all just doing the best we can 🕊️

As a commitment to raising money for Mind this month I wanted to share some of the daily practices I have been doing. Thank you to you for donating, target reached in the first week! 🎉❤️

In my opinion, Yoga as a whole is not really something you see from the outside so it seems strange to me to take photos, they disrupt concentration and don’t represent the depth of where a yoga practice reaches.

It’s inwards, not outwards that we focus and that is one of the many reasons yoga is so good for wellbeing. 🙏

Day 1 of my 30 days of yoga for the mental health charity Mind challenge complete. 🎉I loved focusing on gratitude in meditation. If you’d like to sponsor me, my justgiving page link is posted on my page. 👏

Class this week is inspired by the brilliant book Heart Thoughts by Louise L.Hay’s and The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk. Our bodies note and hold each thought and feeling we have and over time we can become held in patterns that it’s difficult to move through.

We will do as always: bring attention and awareness into our physical selves in asana using the breath as our guide in order to soften and with compassion and kindness unwind tensions we notice.
