Do you ever feel overwhelmed and not sure where to start with a vocal health routine? Us to! That’s why we are huge believers in keeping it simple.
🧘 STRETCH YOUR BODY - Increased flexibility, blood flow and energy in our whole body will help promote healthy voice use due to reduced chance of muscle tension and unwanted holding patterns.
💧 HYDRATE - A hydrated voice is a happy voice. Think about what fluid you are consuming as well as trying to incorporate topical hydration (Steaming and nebulising) into your routine.
💆♀️MINDFULNESS - how we feel about ourself and the world around us greatly impact how our body and voice function. Take a moment to try and reset your mind before focusing on your vocal load.
🥤SOVT - SOVT Exercises are a great way to warm up and get your voice started in the day. This can be straw phonation, voiced fricatives, lip trills, tongue trills, the list goes on. They are also great tools for resets throughout the day.
😎 COOL DOWN- A cool down helps take away the vocal stresses of the day and helps prep the voice for the next day. Some relaxed glides on an SOVT Exercise, a stretch and a steam. Simple and effective.
😴 SLEEP- The best way to heal the mind, body and voice. Rest and reset.
