Don’t store your matcha in a glass jar, here’s why.

Matcha looks beautiful in a glass jar, but it destroys the quality faster than you think.

Matcha is incredibly sensitive to light, heat and oxygen.

The moment it’s exposed, it begins to lose everything that makes it special… the colour, the flavour, and the nutritional benefits.

This is what actually happens when matcha is stored in glass:

• Light breaks down chlorophyll, turning your matcha dull and brown

• Freshness drops fast, meaning a bitter, stale taste

• Nutrients degrade, especially antioxidants and L-theanine

• Humidity can sneak in, causing clumps and ruining texture

• You end up using more powder to get the same effect

That’s why our premium matcha always comes in airtight, opaque tins, they protect the powder from the elements and keep it fresher for longer.

If you want bright green, smooth, high-quality matcha…
keep it in a dark, airtight container and store it in a cool place (not on your countertop).

You can still use glass for serving. Just not for storing.

Matcha was originally made for monks, not influencers.

Here’s what you might not know about Matcha 🌿

1. One cup of matcha = 10 cups of green tea

You are consuming the whole leaf, therefore it is up to 10x higher in antioxidants.

2. It can support gut health

High quality matcha is rich in polyphenols, which feed good gut bacteria and help reduce inflammation.

3. It’s been a 900 year old mindfulness ritual

Samurai and monks used matcha before meditation to stay calm get alert. It was designed to help the brain focus without stress.

You can now purchase our premium ceremonial matcha using the link above.

Did you know that Matcha contains around 70mg of caffeine per cup but unlike other caffeine drinks, it’s bound to L-theanine, an amino acid that changes how your body absorbs and uses it.

Instead of a quick spike, you get a slow, steady release of energy that lasts for hours.

This is why matcha is loved by anyone who needs sustained concentration and not a quick rush.

It supports your nervous system, sharpens focus, boosts dopamine and serotonin, and even enhances memory and reaction time, all while keeping you grounded.

But remember not all matcha is created equal, make sure you opt for high grade ceremonial matcha every time 🌿

Myths about matcha (and what you need to know)

Whenever something that is good for you becomes a trend - there is always cynic’s waiting to bring it down.

Let us clear up a few things about matcha.

- Matcha is NOT new. It has been around for over a thousand years. It was originally used as a medicinal in the 12th century.

- Matcha is higher in oxalates but is not dangerous for the average person, only if you have been told by a doctor to reduce oxalates in your diet. For context spinach has around 650mg per cup (raw) with matcha having around 12.6mg per 2g.

- Matcha won’t effect your iron levels unless your either anaemic or your drinking A LOT of it every day.

I personally drink 2x cups every day, have done for the past 7 years and my iron has been fine (consult a doctor if your concerned)

- Not all ceremonial matcha is the same. There are different grades of ceremonial matcha, differences in harvesting methods and timings. If it’s cheap, there’s a reason.

The bottom line is, matcha is incredible good for most people.

It’s high in antioxidants, polyphenols and catechins - which combat oxidative stress and can offer anti- inflammatory and anti-aging benefits (that’s why I get asked for ID even in my late 30’s 😜)

Matcha has been a huge benefit personally in my life.

It has helped inflammation in my gut, helped me manage my ADHD and given me a stronger immune system.

Don’t believe the critics, if it works for you - drink it.
