Braeburn observed Remembrance Sunday 2025 with all our residents looking smart to watch the service at The Cenotaph.
We made our own poppies, shared memories of war time and reflected on the sacrifices made for us.

Remembrance Sunday 2025.
Braeburn home will be observing the 2 minutes silence at 11 am today and following the service at The Cenotaph so that we can acknowledge the sacrifices made by so many, to keep us safe.

Yesterday we had our farewell party for Shona, our Home Manager, who is leaving on Tuesday next week for pastures new.
Good Luck in your new role 🍀 you’ll be missed by all here at Braeburn Home 🏠

It's that time again! Braeburn Shining Stars!

This month we had 7 notes for 4 staff! this includes 2 staff getting a second award!
It's brilliant that all staff, residents and families are nominating staff and celebrating the amazing work they do!

This month we celebrate:

Liezel, a carer, for always caring and being gentle with residents. for always willing to help and smiling. For her commitment to the wellbeing of our residents and the home. Such a hard worker!

Roge, our senior nurse, for being patient, helpful and having a healthy approach. For having an open mind to new ideas and being a true team leader.

Midhu, a KP, for coping magnificently when the chef is off. Doesn't fuss or panic and takes it all in his stride. He's a star!

Sebastian, a carer, for being friendly, happy and hard working. For always being happy to do his job. For being patient, calm and having a good relationship with all staff and residents.

Huge well done to our amazing Shining Stars!

We're getting work done to ensure reliable wifi across the home, however this is causing some issues with our wifi and phonelines. If you need to contact the home please email us at office@braeburnhome.co.uk

This is also affecting our care logging system for families/friends who access this. Please rest assured that care is continuing as normal, its just a bit delayed at being logged.

Janie, our wellbeing lead, for being so kind to a relative and getting to know them.

Anna J, a night carer, for her sense of humour, stoic calm, and warm approach to residents and colleagues.

Monika, a night nurse, for her professionalism, friendliness and nice smile.

Carlo, a nurse, for being calm and friendly. For always bring willing to help in all kinds of tasks.

Yongmei, a domestic, for always turning up with a smile, and being friendly and polite.

Allison, a nurse, for her dedication and caring of staff and residents.

It's so wonderful to hear these lovely comments and celebrate what we do well!

A record 6 staff nominated!

Joanne, our deputy manager, for being professional and helpful. For looking after the residents, and telling stories to make others laugh.

Marilou, a nurse, for being a beacon of light and being a lovely, caring and dedicated nurse. For too many reasons!

Francesco, our chef, for being cheerful and open to cooperation, welcoming people into the kitchen and speaking with residents.

Anna H, a carer, for caring about residents and staff, interacting well with residents and checking in with staff, especially if she knows you need a hand.

Andrea, a carer, for being so flexible with shifts and for her care and concern of the residents.

Magda, our admin, for being polite, smiling and being willing to help. For being well organised.

As always I am so proud of our staff and all the amazing work they do. Well done!
