Sessions usually last around 50 minutes and provide a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings. Your therapist listens without judgement, helps identify unhelpful patterns, and introduces practical, evidence-based strategies to support positive change.

The first session is about understanding your concerns in more detail, discussing relevant background, and agreeing clear goals to guide the work ahead!

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a therapy used to help people process traumatic or distressing memories. It works by using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or tapping, while recalling difficult experiences, allowing the brain to reprocess them in a healthier way.

It is is particularly effective for PTSD, trauma, anxiety, and phobias, and is recommended by NICE guidelines for trauma treatment.

Remember, always consult a qualified professional before undertaking any new therapy!!
