🌿 April is Stress Awareness Month 🌿
Stress is something all of us experience, but that doesn’t mean we have to face it alone.
Every April since 1992, Stress Awareness Month has encouraged open conversations about what stress looks like, how it affects us, and the small steps we can take to feel more balanced and supported. Small, consistent actions can make a meaningful difference.
This year’s theme, , is all about the power of small, intentional actions. Even tiny shifts in our daily routines can have a big impact on our wellbeing over time—whether it's taking a few minutes to breathe, reaching out to someone you trust, or simply giving yourself permission to rest.
• Take a few minutes each day to check in with how you’re feeling
• Build small habits like walking, stretching, or mindful breathing
• Talk openly about stress with friends, family, or colleagues
• Practice kindness and support toward others who may be struggling
• Set realistic goals and boundaries to avoid overwhelm
• Reduce stress triggers where possible (e.g. workload, screen time)
• Do something regularly that helps you relax and recharge
• Share experiences or tips using to encourage others
• Make time for rest, sleep, and recovery
• Seek professional help or resources if stress becomes unmanageable
Stress is incredibly common - 74% of adults report feeling overwhelmed by stress at some point in the past year and signs of burnout - exhaustion, disengagement, feeling unable to cope—now affect over half of the workforce But together, we can break the stigma, support one another, and build healthier habits that genuinely make a difference.
