I’ve recently come to the end of a short pilot project i was honoured to be part of - sharing yoga with bereaved children to help them navigate this challenging time in their lives.
These sessions were a joint project with children and families team, supporting 9-12 year olds with the loss of a loved one.
Sessions have introduced helpful practices including movement, breathwork, mindfulness and relaxation (including making mindfulness jars as in video)
Feedback from the children has been that they feel happier, more confident, calmer, sleeping better and have enjoyed being part of a group with shared experience.
Caregivers have noted a difference in the children’s behaviour too.
I am grateful for every opportunity to share the benefits of yoga. I have some availability for 1:1 work or small group yoga therapy sessions
