💥SATURDAY 21.01.23💥

We’re back. The Ghillie Dhu will play host to the Rabbie Burns Ball for the first time on Saturday 21st January 2023. A venue incredibly well suited to our event and we are excited to welcome you all to a new look Rabbie Ball.

The tables of 10 & 12 are now live over at or follow the link in our bio. We have a limited space this year and so the tables of 12 will be scarce. 3 course dinner, fundraising events, Ceilidh and live DJ await us in January and we sincerely hope that you will have a night to remember!

Feel free to message us or email info@rabbieball.co.uk with any questions or inquiries.

A problem shared, is a problem halved.

EVENT UPDATE:

Introducing :
Our centre of entertainment and musician for Saturday night! Callum will be playing from the commencement of the raffle right until closing time at 1am.

Unfortunately, due to the restrictions on indoor private events, we’ve been forced to take the difficult decision to cancel our Ceilidh. Nonetheless, we have Callum primed and ready to go to bring a different type of live event that we’ve ever had at the Rabbie Ball. Sound check is complete and we are incredibly excited now for Saturday night to roll round!

ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are delighted to announce that we’ll be joined by founder of as our guest of honour and after dinner speaker at the Rabbie Burns Ball 2022.

Jess is the driving force behind Run Talk Tun, a global mental health support community that uses running as a means to facilitate peer support.

Having experienced a difficult relationship with formal therapy, Jess found solace in opening up with ease whilst running and chose to open up that space to other people struggling with mental ill health.

Jess is an advocate for making running less intimidating - without care for pace and without care for PB’s. She believes running can simply be a means to connect with our peers.

Run Talk Run operates in many locations across the UK and even stretching to a community in California. We are incredibly excited to welcome Jess to Edinburgh and look forward to hearing her story.

EVENT UPDATE:

The ball WILL be going ahead on Saturday 22nd unless tighter restrictions are introduced on 14th January at the next interval. There have been lengthy discussions taking place over the last week to assess the logistics and organisational arrangements and we have made the decision to power on.

Everyone who has bought a table(s) has been emailed this afternoon with additional details and information regarding the event.

Please get in touch with us here or at info@rabbieball.co.uk if you have any concerns or questions re safety or the event itself.

A problem shared, is a problem halved.

After months of back and forth planning, we have finally got the green light for the Rabbie Burns Ball Round 3!

It is our pleasure to welcome you back to the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel on Saturday 22nd January 2022 for the Rabbie Burns Ball. All proceeds are once again going to the Scottish Association for Mental Health.

Details of the event are listed here and are available on where you can now grab your tickets (link below). There are a limited number of tables of 12 so if you are bringing a big crowd, act fast and get your hands on one before it’s too late.

For a while, things looked fairly bleak and we were unsure if the ball was going to be going ahead so understandably we are over the moon to confirm we are good to go!

With your help, it’ll be a night to remember!

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Rabbie Burns Ball 2021.

As it is now vital to limit social contact, we hope that you will all understand that it would be irresponsible for the ball to go ahead in January. That being said, we are optimistic that come January 2022, we will be back and back with a bang.

An increased consciousness about our own personal mental health has arguably never been more important as we are living through unprecedented times. Remember if you are struggling, a problem shared, is a problem halved.

Everything is going to be alright in the end, if it’s not alright yet, it’s not the end.

Saturday - 23.01.2021

We have been in contact with the hotel and the council over the past few weeks and despite the ambiguity surrounding the authorisation of large social gatherings, we are planning positively towards the Rabbie Burns Ball 2021.

Of course, there are many variables out with our control in relation to Covid-19. However, we will maintain communication with our respective contacts and keep you all in the loop regarding ticket distribution and our entertainment plans.

We sincerely hope that we will be able to welcome you all to our 3rd running the of the ball in January. Until then, stay positive and stay safe.

We’re excited to have now launched our website so feel free to check it out (link in bio) for all info, photos and promo video from the last 2 years.

cheque presentation for the £5,117.32 raised at the Rabbie Burns Ball 2020.

Another huge thank you from the Rabbie Ball team for all your donations and support. We still have a long battle ahead of us in fighting the stigma attached to mental health so we hope you’ll continue to support the event in the future.

Thank you.
