Meet the next face in our 'Faces of Four' series - our Director of Strategy & Growth, Nat Ratner. 💙
With over two decades of marketing experience, Nat has really done it all - from agency to client-side, public to private sector, startups and big corps - it's all been part of the journey! Nat's love of truly integrated marketing campaigns is a massive asset to Four, where we take a holistic view of our clients' needs and goals and design the most impactful marketing initiatives to really move the dial.
--> How did you get into marketing?
I studied Fashion Communications at uni and was dead set on a job in fashion show production. But a gap year in Australia changed all that and is how I ended up in Scotland! I worked for a small, Scottish lifestyle retailer, building their e-commerce site, which was how I caught the 'digital' bug. I went on to work at bigmouthmedia, then Europe's biggest media agency on big, exciting clients before moving on to the public sector. It's been quite a 'squiggly line' career and I wouldn't change it for the world.
--> What do you love most about working in marketing?
No two days are ever the same! I love getting into the nitty gritty of a brand or organisation and finding out the insights to really elevate and make 'em shine. It's what I love about marketing strategy - the data will only make the creative stronger, more meaningful and unlock those 'aha' moments.
--> What are your favourite things to do outside of work?
A couple of years ago I discovered weight lifting and have never looked back. Weekends are all about family time, dog walks, cooking and eating delicious things.
