If we asked you what emotion the colour green symbolised, what would you say?

For some, green evokes nature and renewal; others might recall the phrase “green with envy”. This contrast reveals the powerful connection between colour and emotion. Even small changes to your wardrobe and home can positively benefit your wellbeing in ways you might not expect.

The First Psychology office has been getting crafty with a little creative therapy ✂️

As part of our creativity series, Unlocking the Creative Mind, we recently featured collage self-portraits - so the team got into the spirit and tried making their own. The exercise offered a hands-on, creative way to reflect on identity and personal values, and it proved to be a rewarding experience that sparked some truly interesting conversations.

All it takes is a few old magazines, paper, and adhesive, so why not give it a try?

In this instalment of our creative therapy series 'Unlocking the Creative Mind', Abigail Nelson explores self-portraits - but not in the way you might expect 🖼️

Storytelling is one of the oldest forms of human expression 📖 It connects us, helps us make sense of the world, and can even teach us more about ourselves.
In this segment of Unlocking the Creative Mind, we explore storytelling, its deep roots in humanity, and how you can use it as a creative exercise for self-discovery. Take a moment, tell your story, and see what you uncover.

Packed with delectable dishes shared by First Psychology colleagues from around the country, our charity recipe book 'A Taste of Inspiration' is more than just a stocking filler. The book celebrates community, comfort, and the joy of great food. Each dish comes with its own personal story, creating a collection that’s as heart-warming as it is delicious. Best of all, every penny of profit supports charities making life-changing differences for families and children:

- Simba helps families that have suffered an infant bereavement, providing powerful memory-making experiences and support to those grieving.

- The Lucy Faithfull Foundation has been at the forefront of preventing and responding to child sexual abuse, protecting children by working with the people who pose a risk to them.

- The GK Experience supports young people facing long-term challenges due to poverty, disadvantage, and inequality in Glasgow and the wider area.

By purchasing this book, you’re not just adding delicious recipes to your repertoire; you’re helping to transform lives. It's the gift that tastes good and does good, and it's available here: https://bit.ly/4pKmt3
