Do you know that it’s your choice who provides your care-at-home package ?💚
There are three types of care at home contract offered by Edinburgh Council:
Option 1 - Direct Payment. This is when Edinburgh Council awards funds to you to pay for and choose your own care provider. With this option however there is a top-up cost incurred because you will be purchasing your care at your chosen provider’s private rates, but the Council only provides you with a flat rate. You will need to pay the surplus amount from your own private funds.
Option 2 - ISF (Individual Service Fund). This is when you source the care provider of your choice, and the full cost of your care is funded by the Council. There is no top-up involved. If you live in North East Edinburgh and would like Monteith to provide your care, please call us during office hours on 0131 661 0001.
Option 3 is when Edinburgh Council will choose a care provider on your behalf.
