Edinburgh Dads! Here's some help to make the magic manageable!
There are so many demands at this time of year, the list just keeps on getting longer and the cost continues to rise. You can find a list of free and low-cost activities to do in the run up to and during the winter school holidays on the Family Holiday Activities webpage of the Support for Families website. The City of Edinburgh council are updating the webpage all the time, so please keep checking back in for new activities.
Our last Antenatal workshop of 2025 is in North Ayrshire on Thursday 27th November.
You will get hands on experience of changing nappies and bathing babies.
They are informal groups of Dads to be, coming together to learn some practical skills and find out more about how to look after and care for your baby.
All of our groups are on this weekend so bring your kids and come and join us.
Glasgow Dads have the added bonus of a hair workshop on Saturday.

We welcome ALL Dads/Male carers from families of all shapes and sizes, any nationality and including gay, trans and non-binary Dads at our groups and activities.

Glasgow Dads!
Join us at our playgroup on Saturday and you could also find out more about how to style your wee ones hair - bring a brush, clips and bobbles to master ponytails and plaits - and maybe more! 👱♀️
A huge thank you to the amazing volunteer team from Johnsons Hotel Linen who came to our Gorgie base last week! 🙌
They went above and beyond, cleaning toys, giving our kitchen a full deep clean – cupboards and fridge included – and tackling the garden by cutting the long grass, weeding, and gathering leaves. 🌿
Your time and effort make such a difference to our space and the families who use it. We couldn’t do it without you! 💛

We improve outcomes for Children by inspiring their Dads and Families.
We offer:
Playgroups- For Dads/Granddads/Male carers. We currently run 2 playgroups for Dads and their kids (aged 0-5 yrs). Our Saturday playgroup is in Granton and Sunday playgroup is in the City Centre.
Young Dads- We support vulnerable Young Dads, aged 25 or under. Providing vital coaching for them.
School Work - We work with primary schools helping develop parental engagement and acting as positive male role models to the children within the schools. In secondary schools we promote gender equality, fatherhood and its importance to both boys and girls, for whom starting a family may not be far off.
Outreach- We provide story and song sessions for local nurseries.
Workshops - We run a range of workshops for Dads to attend, such as Antenatal, First Aid, Sleeping, Feeding and Hairstyle.
Father’s Day family event- For the last six years we’ve been running a free family on father’s day, in 2019 it was held at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh, with over 2000 people signed up on the day.
