Mary Cotter Nutrition I help people with recurring UTIs/Interstital Cystitis get to the heart of their bladder pain quickly Hi, I'm Mary. I'm a Nutritional Therapist.

I help people identify the root cause of their gut health issues so they can feel empowered, energised and balanced again.

I was invited to attend the first policy meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on UTIs in Westminster this week.

Hosted by and Luke Taylor MP the meeting brought together people from across the UTI community, including patients living with chronic and recurrent UTIs, clinicians, researchers, charities and Parliamentarians.

The group is calling for action in three key areas:

1️⃣ A clinical definition for chronic UTI, which would enable better quality clinical trials

2️⃣ More accurate UTI diagnostic tools

3️⃣ Greater investment in research to develop new treatment options.

For people living with chronic and recurrent UTIs, improvements in recognition, diagnosis and care cannot come soon enough 💙

📣 As someone who works closely with people affected by chronic and recurrent UTIs, and who has lived through chronic UTIs myself, it was encouraging to see MPs willing to amplify the voices of the UTI community in Parliament and advocate for better UTI care 📣

I’m curious, if you could change one thing about UTI care, what would it be?… 💙

I was invited to attend the first policy meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Urinary Tract Infections in Westminster this week.

Hosted by Dr Allison Gardner MP and Luke Taylor MP the meeting brought together people from across the UTI community, including patients living with chronic and recurrent UTIs, clinicians, researchers, charities and Parliamentarians.

The group is focused on calling for action in three key areas:

1️⃣ A clinical definition for chronic UTI, which in turn will enable better quality clinical trials

2️⃣ More accurate UTI diagnostic tools

3️⃣ Greater investment in research to develop new treatment options.

For people living with chronic and recurrent UTIs, I’m sure you’ll agree that improvements in recognition, diagnosis and care cannot come soon enough 👀 💙

📣 It was powerful to see so many voices in the room and to know we have MPs willing to amplify the voices of the UTI community in Parliament and advocate for better UTI care 📣

As someone who works closely with people affected by chronic and recurrent UTIs, and who has lived through chronic UTIs myself, it was encouraging to see such strong commitment to improving recognition, research and care.

I’m curious, and I’d love to know, if you could change one thing about UTI care, what would it be? 💙

A brilliant day in Birmingham speaking at the Bladder Care Conference on nutrition and the bladder lining 🥳🥳🤩

It was a fantastic programme covering topics from interstitial cystitis and chronic UTI to patient wellbeing and pelvic health.

I met so many passionate nurses, women’s health physios and healthcare practitioners interested in bringing nutrition into bladder care. Thank you for making it such an engaging experience 💙

It was also lovely to meet I’ve just started reading her book (sadly we didn’t grab a photo!).

Thank you to for the invitation and for the amazing services you provide 😊

If you’re struggling with chronic or recurring UTIs, interstitial cystitis (IC), or ongoing bladder pain, and nothing you’ve tried has given lasting relief - welcome! You’re in the right place. 💙

I help women get to the real root of their bladder symptoms, so they can stop living in fear of the next flare, feel at ease in their bodies again, and return to the things they love - whether that’s intimacy, travel, or simply leaving the house without planning life around the loo.

Whether you’re ready for tailored 1-2-1 support inside the Heal Your Bladder programme, or you want to start by learning more first, there’s a clear place to begin here.

You don’t need another restrictive plan or more confusion. You need a clear, joined-up approach that supports long-lasting relief and the freedom to love life again.

What’s your next step going to be? As someone who was once told I had “IC” (what I now understand was a chronic UTI), I’d love to support you. ❤️

If I was diagnosed with IC or chronic UTI today, this is where I would start.💙

Getting this kind of news can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re suddenly told to change everything you’re eating and doing at once. 💔

The truth is, healing rarely comes from restricting more.

It comes from taking a root cause approach and the right next steps, consistently.

You need a clear starting point and guidance on what actually matters. What’s actually going to move the needle, from someone who’s lived this (and went on to live a completely normal life).

If you’d like to understand why UTI / IC symptoms can continue even when tests look “normal,” and what to focus on instead, I teach this inside my short course Chronic UTIs: The Root Cause Reset.
Comment RESET and I’ll send you the details.

I’ll be breaking down my UTI Free Formula to Healing Your Bladder (+ ditching your urgency, frequency, discomfort, stinging, fear and exhaustion for good).

We’ll be reviewing the step-by-step formula that we’ve walked countless women through that has helped them overcome chronic bladder pain symptoms when they felt like they had “tried everything”.

It’s time for a new approach.

Comment “RESET” and I’ll send you the link to my new short course — Chronic UTIs: The Root Cause Reset.

Healing chronic and recurring UTIs and “IC” in 2026 looks different.

It’s food, fibre, nervous system safety, gentle movement, and rebuilding the bladder environment — not just killing bacteria and avoiding so called “trigger foods”.

These 8 steps are where true healing starts. 💙

💬 Comment RESET and I’ll send you the next steps.

Comment RESET if you’re tired of treating UTIs like a never-ending emergency.‼️🆘‼️

If you’ve done everything — antibiotics, supplements, water, hygiene —
and you’re still stuck in the cycle…
this isn’t a discipline problem.

Most bladder healing advice is outdated.
It focuses on killing bacteria instead of rebuilding the environment that keeps them from coming back and cutting out random lists of healthy foods like citrus and tomatoes. 🙄🥱

In 2026, we know better.
Bladder healing happens when you support the bladder lining, calm the nervous system, and restore microbial balance — together.

You’re not a lost cause.💙💙
You just needed a better framework.

💬 Comment RESET and I’ll send you how.

Food was never the problem. It was the environment the food was entering.

If, like me, cutting out tomatoes, fruit, or “acidic foods” didn’t heal your IC or chronic UTIs — this explains why.

I’m launching something new next week that breaks down how to get out of the flare-up cycle for good — without more restriction, fear, or trial-and-error.

It’s exactly what I wish I had access to when I was going through chronic UTI/IC hell. I don’t want anyone else wasting time, energy or risking their health further on outdated “bladder trigger” diet lists. Today, we can do so much better for women’s health 💖💖

Let me show you, month by month, how my client Jenna’s journey unfolded.

When you’re struggling with interstitial cystitis (IC) or chronic UTIs, I know how much you crave quick relief. I’ve been there. But real, lasting progress takes time. And for Jenna, every month brought new milestones:

✨ Month 1: Symptom shifts that gave her a glimmer of hope.
✨ Month 3: More good days, fewer flares.
✨ Month 6: Feeling like herself again.

The secret to her success? She checked in with me regularly via the online portal, so we could tweak and adapt her plan as needed. She used my recipe collections and resources to stay supported between sessions.

Because the Heal your Bladder programme isn’t just a protocol, it’s a partnership 🙌

Jenna's six-month timeline shows why quick fixes don’t cut it. Long lasting relief means rebuilding, rebalancing, and finding what works for you. Not eliminating lists of foods, or tossing a few supplements at the problem in the hope that this all goes away.

👉 Swipe to see Jenna’s journey from non-stop flare-ups ➡️ to finding the freedom to love life again.
