🙌 This week’s breaks down the core ideas behind EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing).

🧠 EMDR is an evidence-based therapy aimed to help people reprocess traumatic memories. A key component on EMDR is 'bilateral stimulation', which is when both sides of your brain become stimulated through side-to-side eye movements, taps, or sounds.

❓EMDR can help you access your subconscious mind and reprocess emotionally charged memories. Ultimately, this activates the brain's natural healing process, helping the memory lose its emotional intensity.

🙌 This week’s breaks down the core ideas behind Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

💫 ACT is a modern, evidence‑based therapy that helps people build psychological flexibility — learning to notice thoughts and feelings, make space for them, and take steps guided by personal values. It’s a compassionate and practical approach that supports long‑term wellbeing.

This Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we’re standing with to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and remind our community that recovery is never out of reach. 💙

In the UK, over 1 in 50 people live with an eating disorder (though the actual number may be even higher). Conditions such as ARFID, Anorexia, and Bulimia are complex and often go unrecognised, misdiagnosed, or misunderstood. Eating disorders don’t just impact the individual; they also take a toll on loved ones, who can often feel powerless as they watch someone they care about struggle. Eating disorders are among the biggest mental health challenges, but with the right help, recovery is possible. 🌟
