This program is not a temporary remedy but a systematic solution that creates long-term health. Foundation Training enables one to reach, achieve, and experience incredible health and wellness. Thousands of people of all ages who were stuck on the couch or headed for surgery for everything from sore knees and bad backs to tight shoulders and failing hips have discovered remarkable healing through Foundation Training. This provides a natural and effective alternative to heavy-handed medical intervention. Visit www.foundationtraining.com to read their testimonials. We had such a fun weekend at our most recent retreat at the Railway Rooms in Kingussie! Brilliant venue, incredible food, fantastic bunch of people who were a joy to teach. Here is what Marita (who was attending her 4th retreat with Mora) thought of the weekend…

“I can’t really put into words how much Foundation Training with Mora has helped me repair my body and mind - and being a part of the retreats is very special. Mora is a great teacher, loves her craft and knows her stuff. I always come away with a deeper understanding of how my body works, and how toyou can keep it healthy and strong - plus with foundation training it’s wonderful to be surrounded by amazing people and make not to mention making a few new friends! To top it off, Pauline’s food is just incredible - I can’t recommend these retreats highly enough.”

Earlier this month, I completed a year-long training in Somatic Therapy and Myofascial Release, and honestly, it’s been one of the most confronting, raw, and rewarding experiences I’ve had.

What surprised me most? Despite working with the body for 10+ years, there was a significant layer of connection I was missing. Through this work, I’m experiencing less mental noise, more compassion, stronger boundaries, and a more regular sense of peace.

Now, I’m so excited to share this with you and to celebrate, I’m offering 25% off all sessions until October 2026 (code: SOMATICMFR).

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your body, let’s have a chat and we’ll see how I can help you.

Each foot has 33 joints. That’s a lot of joints for such a small area. And what are joints for? Movement. Our feet are designed to move.
Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, the largely fashion-led footwear industry has restricted this movement. Rigid soles, heel lifts, narrow toe boxes and arch supports have squashed our feet into unnatural shapes, and the desire to “look good” has overridden the importance of healthy foot function.
When we restrict foot movement with rigid supports, the body has to take the impact elsewhere, cue sore knees, hips and back. 🌿

So much of our conditioning is to push, fix, and force the body to behave the way we want it to.

But the body doesn’t work like that. When we begin to listen more carefully and allow space for long-held tensions to release, it often starts to reorganise itself in ways we couldn’t have planned.

This work asks for patience, curiosity, and a little faith in the body’s ability to find its way back to balance. 🌿

Knee pain is often treated at the knee itself. But in many cases, the knee is simply responding to what’s happening above and below it.
The knees sit between two highly mobile areas, the feet and the hips. When those areas aren’t moving and coordinating well, the knees often end up carrying more load than they’re designed for.
When we bring the whole leg back into balance, the knees are let off the hook and pain eases. 🌿

Some lovely testimonials from our last retreat in Kingussie in 2024.

If you joined us there, you’ll know how special that combination of movement, learning, amazing food, a beautiful venue and good company can be. Across the weekend we shared daily movement classes, in-depth Foundation Training workshops, sauna time, delicious home-cooked meals and space to explore the surrounding landscape.

Our next retreat is coming up on Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd March 2026 and is sold out!

If you’ve missed out on this one but would like to join a future retreat, click the link in the bio, join our mailing list and you’ll be kept in the loop. 🌿

This simple somatic release technique - pandiculation - re-educates the nervous system to let go of held tension stored in the muscles.

I regularly observe clients stuck in a pattern of bracing as a result of pain and injury. Over time this becomes habitual and they ‘forget’ how to relax these areas. By slowly reminding the nervous system how to let go we free up movement again.

Pandiculation works beautifully with Foundation Training to create space and decompress the body. 🌿

I’m excited to release my first on demand workshop ‘Your Body’s Foundations’ which is available at a discounted presale rate until March 15th. ✨

🌿You can save £10 until March 15th and enjoy lifetime access.

🌿Key in discount code DEEPFRONTLINE on check out.

Deep inside our skeleton sits a continuous myofascial line called the Deep Front Line. It spans from the big toe & arch of the foot, up through the deep calf, inner thighs, pelvic floor, psoas, deep abdominals, diaphragm, and all the way into the deep neck and jaw.

Because this layer isn’t visible, it tends to get neglected as we focus our attention on the more visible outer layers. Combine this with the realities of modern life - excessive sitting, restrictive footwear, stress, pregnancy and childbirth - and many of us lose touch with this deep layer that forms the body’s foundation.

This workshop teaches you how to access, release and strengthen the Deep Front Line to support the internal lift, space, and support it provides.

A clip from a previous workshop at my retreat in the Spanish Pyrenees…

The mobile areas of the body are:
🌿 the feet
🌿 the hips
🌿 the thoracic spine
🌿 the shoulders
🌿 the atlas/axis joint (very top joint of neck)

By re-establishing coordinated movement between these areas, we take the load away from the knees, lower back and neck, distributing it through the muscular system resulting in pain free, strong and supported joints.

I’m teaching a workshop this Sunday 18th if you’d like to learn more (link in bio). You can join us online or in person!

Struggling with sciatica or lower back pain?

The solution is simple when you know how…

I’ve got a workshop coming up this Sunday 18th Jan which will teach you how to decompress your spine.

There are other ways to learn too if you can’t make Sunday - private sessions, group classes, retreats, online videos.

Sciatica is one of the most common reasons people come to work with me, and it’s also something I’ve experienced myself. It can be frustrating and limiting, especially when the focus is only on managing symptoms rather than understanding what’s actually happening in the body.

In my work, change comes from creating space where the nerve is being compressed - often at both the lower back and the hips. When the body has space, it can soften and reorganise. Relief doesn’t come from forcing or numbing, but from decompression.

If this is something you’re living with, we explore this work in Your Body’s Foundations, a small in-person workshop in Edinburgh on Sunday 18th January. If it feels like the right next step, you’d be very welcome - and you’re always welcome to reach out with questions. 🌿
