Stories like George’s remind me what’s possible when we learn to move with the body, not against it.

After ACL and meniscal surgery, running felt out of reach for years. Through consistent Foundation Training, George rebuilt strength and balance in a way that allowed his body to absorb impact safely again.

To be truly free in our movement, we need to know how to let go of tension, both physically and emotionally.

Much of the work begins with release. When we learn to unwind what’s been held - in the body and in the nervous system - we create the space for strength, ease and connection to return.

This is where change really happens. Not by pushing harder, but by learning how to listen, soften, and let the body lead. 🌿

Mora McGovern was the first Certified Foundation Training Instructor in Scotland completing her training in New York in October 2015. In September 2017 Kat Ross traveled to Santa Barbara to complete her training, followed by Isla Wilson who traveled to New York in October 2017 to join the large, and growing, team of Foundation Training Instructors worldwide.

They are now working together as Foundation Training Instructors Scotland and are all based in and around Aberdeen providing private and group sessions. They plan to spread the word of Foundation Training through multiple workshops countrywide in 2018, whilst continuing to successfully teach their clients how to strengthen their bodies, eliminate pain and avoid injury.
