Today we are celebrating a very special milestone for one of our lovely service users Rosemary, who turned 80 years young! 🎈
This morning Rosemary’s carers started the celebrations in style by surprising her with some gorgeous flowers and birthday cards - which she was over the moon with!
Later in the day, Rosemary’s family and neighbours organised a surprise birthday party to continue the celebrations which we hear went down a treat!
It means so much to us to be able to share such important milestones with the people that we support.
Happy 80th Birthday, Rosemary we hope your day has been filled with love and laughter 💐🎂

A huge thank you to Ayan and Zahra two of our lovely team members for so kindly cooking and sharing some delicious food with us today as part of their Ramadan celebration. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful opportunity for us all to come together and enjoy some amazing dishes.

Today we said a very sad goodbye to our wonderful Care Supervisor, Karen, as she moves on to an exciting new chapter.
Over the past three years, Karen has made an incredible difference to so many lives. When she first joined us, she had no prior experience in social care but it didn’t take long for her natural compassion, dedication, and genuine desire to help others to shine through. Her commitment and hard work quickly led to a well deserved promotion and she has been an invaluable part of our office team ever since.
While we will miss her greatly, we are incredibly proud of her as she takes this next step into working with children in another area of the social care sector. We have no doubt she will continue to inspire, support, and change lives wherever she goes.
Karen, thank you for everything you have given to your role, our team and the people we support. It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside you.

Professional Carers is delighted to open an exciting opportunity for a Care Supervisor to join our established and supportive team based in South Queensferry.
If you’re an experienced Senior Care Worker or Care Supervisor ready to take the next step — or already supervising within domiciliary or residential care — this could be the perfect role for you.
💼 About the Role
You’ll work closely with our Care Supervisors and Care Coordinators, supporting care teams across the community and ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered every day. From completing care plans using our electronic care planning system PASS, carrying out supervisions and spot checks, auditing MAR charts, mentoring new staff, and supporting training delivery — you’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement across the service.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll truly make a difference to both service users and frontline staff.
✅ What We’re Looking For
SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards)
Minimum 6 months’ experience as a Care Worker
Minimum 6 months’ supervisory experience
Strong IT skills
Full UK driving licence & access to your own vehicle
💰 What We Offer
A salary of £28,674.10
40p per mile mileage allowance
£25 additional payment per completed on-call duty offering an O.T.E an additional £2,000+ p/annum.
Support with SVQ Level 3, PVG & SSSC (if required)
An additional days leave on your birthday, to 'Celebrate You'

Yesterday, the Professional Carers Edinburgh team took part in a unique training experience, expertly delivered by Michael from Moray Management 📝
The Dementia Empathy Experience is an immersive dementia simulator designed to help deepen understanding and empathy for people living with dementia. Through simulated sensory and cognitive challenges, our care team were able to gain first hand insight into the daily realities faced by those living with the condition.
It was a powerful and thought-provoking experience for our team, and one that will help us continue to provide the best possible care and support to the people we work with.
A huge thank you to Moray Management for delivering such an impactful training experience, we truly appreciate your time, support, and expertise. 🙏✨
