What matters most in health (and life) isn’t perfection — it’s consistency.

A few months ago, I signed up for the Trail —
30 km, over 2000 m elevation gain.

I had BIG plans.
Long summer runs in the mountains.
Steep climbs.
Serious training.

But then… life happened.
The Spanish heat made outdoor runs nearly impossible.
My “perfect plan” didn’t exist anymore.

Instead, I focused on what I could do:
💚 10–20k flat runs (did few 😯)
💚 30 min HIIT & strength at home (vvv consistent!)
💚 Local, seasonal nutrition (everyday)
💚 Good sleep & recovery (most of my days 😉)
💚 Time with my boys and parents (mental health counts the most!)

Before the race, I even questioned if I should show up.
But the advice from trail runners stuck with me:
👉 Enjoy it. Walk when needed. Let your body guide you.

So I did.
I prepared my gels, hydration, electrolytes, studied the track…
and showed up with gratitude, not expectations.

The result?
✨ I crossed the finish line smiling.
✨ And proudly took 2nd place in my senior category 🏅.

This race reminded me of what I tell my clients every day:
➡️ It’s not about perfect plans.
➡️ It’s about consistency, adaptability, and trusting your body.

Because when you build a healthy foundation, it will carry you further than you think. 🌱

And I'm inspired by my handball friend who is a runner too 🙏

Having completed my MSc in Food Science and Nutrition and MSc in Bio-Organic Chemistry at Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh), I founded my own company “Health by Nutrition” to help people develop healthier diets and lifestyles.

I am a full qualified Registered Nutritionist (Public Health) with the Association for Nutrition - the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN) (My REG.: 10979), active member of The American Nutrition Association and wealth of experience on helping people to become healthy, energised and fit, equipping them with knowledge and techniques to improve their life style. I communicate with people on a one to one basis, in groups and I also provide an online service which is accessed by clients in Europe, Canada and other parts of the world.

Some of my key areas of expertise include weight management, gastrointestinal diseases (Crohn's, Irritation bowel syndrome, celiac, ulcerative colitis, haemorrhoids, etc), any eating disorder, food allergy and food intolerance, thyroid problems, pregnancy and preconception, chronic fatigue, skin health, hormonal imbalances, auto-immune disease (including Hashimoto's Disease), bulimia nervosa, etc.
