We are delighted to announce that Bright Care Stirling has just received another glowing inspection report!

The Care Inspectorate gave them 5s (very good) in the following areas:
How well do we support people's wellbeing
How good is our staff team
How well is our care supported and planned

They wrote: “The organisation prioritises building strong and caring relationships between staff and the people they support. Many individuals were actively encouraged to socialise and participate in local community projects. Staffing arrangements are effective and staff work well together to deliver consistent, person-centred care. Staff described feeling supported and well equipped Care plans are detailed, person-centred, and regularly reviewed, reflecting each person's individual needs and wishes.”

Natalie Collins, our Branch Manager in Stirling said: "I’m really proud of our team for consistently achieving high grades with the Care Inspectorate. I know how hard everyone works, and it’s wonderful to see that reflected in the feedback from the people we support. Our latest report describes our team as kind, reliable and respectful and praises our medication and communication systems. We’ve worked hard to create this environment, so it means a lot to hear from our staff as well that they feel supported and well-communicated with. Proud of us all!"

"It’s so nice to see how much and how quickly Nan’s mood has changed now that she’s able to get out with her carers. They are an absolute god send and we really appreciate it!"

We loved getting this message from Sylvia's Granddaughter this week. It is so encouraging to hearing how she has seen the positive difference Bright Care has made in her Nan's life.

Sylvia has really enjoyed getting out and about with her carers. She has been on a swing, out for a Autumn walk and even went swimming for the first time in 20 years! her carers really have brought joy to Sylvia's life.

When our Bright Carer Lisa found out that two of her clients were dog lovers, she saw the opportunity to offer her clients some pet therapy with her furry companion Harley. Harley has really enjoyed the visits and getting out to the park for a wander with one of them!

Having Haley around has prompted lots of stories about beloved pets and the exercise and fresh air was an added bonus.

Well done Lisa and of course Harley. 🐾

Signs of decline - having difficult conversations about care with the wider family

When a loved one starts to show signs of decline, it can be hard to know what to do next. While everyone in the family wants what’s best for them, there can often be different views on what that looks like. Some may think it’s time to look at care for the elderly options, while others may believe the person is still coping fine at home. These conversations can be emotional, but open, honest communication helps ensure decisions are made with compassion and understanding.

Here are Adam and Ian enjoying watching a game of rugby together!

At Bright Care, we understand the importance of developing relationships between our clients and carers. We achieve this with careful client and carer matching and extended visits of two hours or more from the same regular carers. This means visits are tailored to each individual client so they can do the things that bring them joy.

Yvonne is delighted to be reunited with her two new cats Hubble and Hoyle! Shortly after coming to live with Yvonne, the two cats went missing. Yvonne's carer's spotted evidence of them in the shed and then spotted them under the tree in the garden but wouldn't come in. Our Carer encouraged Yvonne to keep talking to them and leaving them food inside which she did and they came home. 💕
