West Edinburgh Acupuncture

West Edinburgh Acupuncture Experienced (40+ years) acupuncturist Jonathan Clogstoun-Willmott (MBAcC):
MONDAYS at Tranent Physio, 100 High St, Tranent, East Lothian EH33 1HH. Bus 113.

Buses 26, 104, 106, 113. THURSDAYS at Lothian Acupuncture, 1c Cockburn Halls, Ormiston EH35 5JB. I've been seeing patients in Edinburgh since I moved back here in 1982, and before that in London, where I had a big practice. People often come because they want help beyond what their doctor can provide. Most people come because a friend recommended me. I use my skills based on acupuncture, but many people are treated with homoeopathy. Nutrition can be important as well as hands on treatments like Bowen therapy. Over the years I've trained in and then practised a huge range of therapies like shiatsu, reflexology, Chinese herbal medicine, kinesiology and so on. They all add to my experience in treating people. I've taught students for over 25 years and worked with Edinburgh University Faculty of Medicine to show their students what 'alternative' medicine can do. (As a result, many of them said they wanted to train in it themselves after they'd completed their formal training!)

Currently I'm chair of the Scottish Association of Professional Homoeopaths and Regional Coordinator for the British Acupuncture Council.

A big thank-you to everyone who visited me from West Edinburgh, but I'm now working in East Lothian, on Mondays at Tranent Physio, 100 High St, Tranent Eh33 1HH, and on Thursdays in Ormiston, at Lothian Acupuncture, 1c Cockburn Halls, George St, Ormiston, EH35 5JB.
Do visit me if you can - it's not that far, really! And East Lothian is a beautifual county.
Given current events, here's a recent post, on War and Peace, Yin and Yang (https://www.acupuncture-points.org/war-and-peace-yin-and-yang.html) and one on foods we all like but our bodies don't! (https://youtu.be/QRTLKv_snGo )

Damp Heat Foods can lead to swelling and pain, pus, cough, painful joints, tiredness, even chronic fatigue. But they’re not always bad!If you'd like to know ...

Sorry, if you're looking for an appointment on Monday 26th Oct - currently we're full up. But there are still spaces next Monday 2nd November.

Meantime, have a look at our page on High Blood Pressure - Hypertension, and how Chinese medicine explains it in terms of yin and yang!

High blood pressure - hypertension: understand it with yin and yang to get the right treatment. Excess yang or deficient yin?

Starting Monday 7th September we are opening again, as usual at the Holiday Inn, 132 Corstorphine Rd, EH12 6UA, next to Edinburgh Zoo.

We're being careful about clinic appointments, with particular care about PPE and Health and Safety because of Covid 19.

Initially we'll be open only on Mondays.

Check if the time that suits you is available at www.brief.me.uk !

We look forward to seeing you soon!

13/07/2020

As of Monday July 13th 2020 I am still restricted from opening by Scottish government decree.

Until this changes, and the hotel and leisure centre where I work also opens, I cannot see patients, I'm afraid, at the Holiday Inn, 132 Corstorphine Road.

If the government changes its mind and allows me to work, but the hotel remains closed, I shall find alternative temporary accommodation in Edinburgh and post it here.

Best wishes to all my patients!
