Real Results from an Edinburgh Professional
One of my clients, a partner at an Edinburgh law firm, came to me with chronic low back pain.
She'd been experiencing pain on and off for 8 years, but the most recent exacerbation happened just two weeks before visiting the clinic. Over the years, she'd tried stretching, strengthening, massage, and ergonomic changes.
Nothing seemed to work.
When I assessed her, I found specific spinal restrictions in her spine and pelvis. Her nervous system had adapted to poor posture and minor injuries over the years, including trying to get everything done with a child on one hip.
We created a plan:
1 Restore spinal mobility through targeted care
2 Address muscle imbalance through specific exercises
3 Retrain postural patterns through consistent practice
By her 6-week re-examination, she had noticed a 70% improvement, with increased ease of movement, reduced pain, and greater comfort in her body.
But more importantly, she understood what was happening in her body. She understood why her previous approaches hadn't worked. And most importantly, she was practising the exercises.
She now maintains her health through consistent movement breaks and periodic check-ups.
The key insight: addressing the root cause (spinal restriction and nervous system adaptation) can work when other approaches don't.
If you've been experiencing recurring bouts of pain or struggling with pain that doesn't seem to improve, it might be because you're not addressing the real problem.
