The importance of maintenance….

Maintaining the boss’ upper body strength is key to her maintaining her independence.

The first video is Mairi pressing 25kg for one in 2020 and the second she is pressing 25kg for three in 2025 💪.

Welcome Mollie….

We at DR inclusive are delighted to add Mollie to the team. Mollie is a personal trainer and yoga instructor where she completed her studies in Bali and India!

“I’m so happy to be a part of DR Inclusive Fitness because I really believe in what the team stands for — making movement more accessible. Movement has always been my happy place, and I’m so grateful that I get to help others experience that same joy through movement, as everyone deserves to feel the benefits of being active.

During my gap year, I worked in an additional needs primary school and loved supporting children with a range of impairments. It showed me how powerful inclusive environments can be and how much joy and confidence movement can bring. Being part of DR Inclusive Fitness means I get to help create those same opportunities — in a place where everyone feels supported, valued, and able to discover what their body can do”

Control of the environment…

Is one of the biggest reasons that DR Inclusive Fitness, Scotlands first gym for disabled people, was created. This allows Kirsten to benefit from a quiet controlled environment to learn and build confidence. It took a bit of time to teach Kirsten the lat pull down from feeling the attachment, to holding it, then pulling it down and counting the reps and the environment we have created allows for this even tho it’s Kirsten that does all the hard work 💪. Head over to our website if you would like to learn more 😊

Day 11/31 Birthday 5k and Halloween 5k news!

It’s my 41st birthday today and it was a struggle to get the run in this morning. So I headed up to the gym with kasey and Freddie for moral support 😂. Kasey and Freddie cycled, ski’d and rowed whilst I done the 5k 👏🏻.

The last run of the 31 will be our 150-155km run and will be on Halloween so for a bit of fun we will be doing our run in fancy dress.

Anyone that donates today and has donated so far gets to pick/donate my fancy dress! David will do from 11-21 and Ross 21-31. So if you would like to donate a costume for us to wear all you have to do is donate as little as £1 and send us a message and we will pick the best one from anyone that enters.

Anyone that has already donated or donates today gets to pick my fancy dress 😂.

Ps I say eh a lot eh
Sorry chunk couldn’t resist the alright troops ❤️

Day 6….a willing participant 😊

Olivia volunteered herself to do the time on the invictus active whilst I done today’s 5k on the treadmill. She did offer to swap halfway 😂.

Today was a tough one after golf and late evening run yesterday but it helped having Olivia there grafting away too!

If you didn’t already know, myself, chunk and Ross and running 5k every day to raise funds for prostate cancer. If you would like to donate you can do on the link below 😊

Day 3…..More victims 😂

Steven was roped in this morning to cycle for as long as it took me to complete today’s 5k on the treadmill…..then Ross walked in with Cammy and Mark and then they were also, gently, persuaded to join in too, Mark on the bike and Cammy on the rower!

Amazing effort again. Thanks Steven, Cammy and Mark 😊. Coffees on me next week!

If you would like to sponsor Me, Ross and Chunk and everyone else we rope in on our 5k a day challenge for prostate cancer you can do with the link below….
