Our service enables individuals to live safely and independently in their own homes, helping to reduce the need for hospital admissions or long-term residential care. We are looking for compassionate, empathetic, and reliable individuals who are committed to making a real difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred personal care and domestic support.
• Provide assistance with daily living activities, including medication support (as per care plans).
• Maintain reliability and consistency in care delivery.
• Be responsive by phone and flexible with shift patterns.
• Report any concerns regarding a service user’s wellbeing to management promptly.
• Attend mandatory training, supervision, and appraisal sessions.
• Follow all organisational policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement.

Essential Requirements:
• SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (e.g., Nurse Aide Level 2/3).
• Minimum of 3 months’ experience in a similar care role.
• Full, valid UK driving licence – this is a mobile role.
• Genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of person-centred and outcome-based care.

Benefits:
• Annual Salary: £25,998.96
• Working Hours: 39 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: 07:00–22:00 (2-hour break between 14:00–16:00)
• Time Off: Every second weekend off
• Annual Leave: 28 days
• Living Wage Employer

• Uniform Provided: Two T-shirts and one fleece jacket
• Ongoing training and professional development support

Dementia is the broad term used to describe a number of different conditions affecting the brain, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia, and over 100 more forms.

Today, we’re shining a light on vascular dementia. It’s the second most common type of dementia (after Alzheimer's disease) and everyone experiences it differently.

The most common symptoms of vascular dementia during the early stages are:

🧠 Problems with planning or organising, making decisions or solving problems

🧠 Difficulties following a series of steps (such as when cooking a meal)

🧠 Slower speed of thought

🧠 Problems concentrating, including short periods of sudden confusion.

A person in the early stages may also have difficulties with their memory and their language.

There are also different types of vascular dementia, which are all a result of problems with blood supply to parts of the brain, which then become damaged.
