It was great to see our CEO featured in the Community Transport Association's International Women's Day celebrations last week!

Although often seen as a male-dominated sector, community transport is built on collaboration and support. Many women working across the sector like Kimberley Ward are leading services, driving innovation, and ensuring transport meets the needs of everyone in their communities.

From leadership to frontline services like Lothian Community Transport Services (LCTS) Women’s Night Buses, their work shows how community transport can break down barriers and create safer and more inclusive journeys for all.

We've been in the LCTS archives! Here's some photographs we came across way from back in 2003/2004 - yes, well over 20 years ago! Hopefully a happy memory of you or a loved one. We are fairly sure that some of these were taken at our member organisation St. David's Bradbury Day Centre, Newtongrange alongside other local member groups.

**Festive Volunteering Opportunity**

LCTS are partnered with Edinburgh Community Food to deliver their Discover! food boxes to families around Edinburgh during the school holidays. We are putting the call out for any volunteers who would be available to help deliver these food boxes on either the 22nd or 23rd of December between 7:30am and 2pm. No driving experience required, you just need to be physically fit enough to carry the boxes.

ECF have a volunteer open day on Thursday the 27th of November at 11am at their Leith site if you are interested in exploring further volunteering opportunities with them.
