Today is International Zero Waste Day and we strive to be a more sustainable practice. Eyewear waste is a major contributor to landfills and we want to change that!

Here is how we try to help:

Contact Lens Recycling: Don’t toss those contact lens packets! We accept all brands of used contact lenses, foil covers, and plastic or cardboard packaging for recycling.

Glasses Donation and Recycling: Have an old pair of frames gathering dust in a drawer? Drop them in to us! We collect preloved glasses to be refurbished and donated to those in need of clear vision worldwide. Anything that can’t be used is recycled.

Use Nikon as our Main Lens Supplier: We love working with Nikon Optical as their lenses are manufactured in the UK using renewable energy. Their packaging is recyclable and their lens cloths are made using 100% recycled microfibre and non-toxic dye.

Today is World Optometry Day where we celebrate eye care practitioners and their contributions to vision care and eye health around the world.

The theme for World Optometry Week and Day this year is “A Shared Vision: Collaboration in Global Eye Care.” This backs The World Council of Optometry’s initiative to make eye care a human right. Common vision conditions can be treated and avoidable blindness can be prevented if we work together to make eye care more accessible.
