Even the softest bloom knows how to rise, stretching past the should’s and shouldn’ts, past the quiet cages of self-doubt.

There’s a wild and sacred wisdom in choosing to unfurl anyway, to let yourself be seen, to grow in your own rhythm, to flourish simply because you were always meant to ✨

✨ A Mother Blessing is a sacred pause. A circle of love, intention, and support as you prepare to birth your baby and step into motherhood or parenthood 🌿

For this mama, each strand of yarn woven into this mandala carried the wishes, prayers, and affirmations of her circle of community, shared with her during her Mother Blessing.

This mama took her mandala to her birth space, as a beautiful reminder that she’s held, supported, and powerful 💫

Do you know about 🌸 Yoni Steaming 🌸?

Also known as vaginal steaming, this is an ancestral practice - historically practised across the globe and various cultures (including in Europe) - that supports menstrual health, fertility and postpartum healing.

🌿 For Fertility
Your womb deserves tenderness, time, and care. Yoni steaming can gently support circulation, warmth, and connection to your body’s natural rhythms. For those calling in a baby, steaming can be a way to release what no longer serves, help to clear the womb of old tissue, invite balance, and create a warm, nurturing environment for new life to take root ✨

🌸 For Postpartum Healing
After birth, the body holds the stories of strength, of release, of transformation. Yoni steaming can support postpartum healing by warming the womb, soothing tissues, and helping you feel grounded in your body again. It’s not just physical, it’s emotional and spiritual too, a way of honouring your birth journey while giving yourself the softness you so deeply deserve 🧡

This is sacred self-care; an invitation to slow down, to listen inward, and to nurture your womb with love and warmth.

I now offer guidance for steaming, and can facilitate it as part of the fertility and postpartum doula care I offer. Reach out to learn more 💌

🧵 Weaving Protection and Hope 🧵

L and I set off to explore and learn about the Scottish tradition of making protective charms out of rowan berries and red thread. We made a necklace for her, then one for me, then one for R, all while I gently shared with L more about rowan tree lore.
I then said to L I’d like to make little charms for the families I’m currently supporting as a doula, with a baby having recently been welcomed by one, another baby who’s very much on their way, one who we are waiting for, and another one who will join us earthside in the autumn.
As I was lost in my thoughts of all these mothers and babies, threading berries, love and well wishes with L sitting on my lap and observing, she brought me out of my daze to say “I want to make one for my brother. Because I want a brother, and we’re waiting for my brother.” My heart both sang and broke, with the now familiar sadness around our baby loss earlier this year, and also with the delight that L’s little heart had not forgotten to hold on to hope. “That’s a lovely idea!” I said. “Maybe we could send some thoughts towards your brother or sister to come, while we make it.”
And so we did. And L would not let go of the little charm, even while playing in the garden afterwards.

And then it dawned on me. We were weaving hope and protection for the soul we so wish and hope will eventually join our family. Allowing hope despite the fear and sadness.

Thank you, L. Truly ❤

🌾 Lughnasadh Blessings 🌾

The first fruits are gathered, the sun begins to lean toward rest, and the earth hums with quiet abundance.

So too does the body, round with ripeness or soft in recovery, whisper of all it has created, carried, and become.

This is a time to honour the in-between. A sacred threshold where growth meets gratitude.

To the ones growing life, birthing dreams, nurturing tender beginnings; may you feel the ancient rhythm of enough.
You are the enough. You are the harvest 🌻

The perfect postpartum gift?
It’s the one that says “You’re held. You’re loved. You deserved to be nourished and looked after” 🌿💫

Like a food hamper, that nourishes the body, and supports recovery, and helps with energy levels, while also reminded the family they are so loved with every bite 🧡

This one included:
✨ A quiche for a one-handed, quick nutrient-rich meal
✨ Peanut butter-stuffed dates with dark chocolate for a sustaining energy boost
✨ Granola for a nourishing breakfast
✨ Freshly squeezed orange juice for vitamin C and important hydration
✨ A hand-blend herbal tea to support recovering from birth and milk production, and also to envelop and nurture the heart that adapts to life with a new baby
