A poem written by one of our VIP parents about one of our lovely groups ❤️

Our VIP Stars
Maeve and Kit, a twin pair bright,
Love the circle, up and down, so right.
“Altogether Now” is their favourite song,
Moving together, laughing along.

Theo smiles, a heart so wide,
With Down syndrome joy he cannot hide.

Lui, cheeky and quick with his gaze,
Demands what he wants in clever ways.
Annie’s spirit, strong and sweet,
Makes every moment together complete.

Gabriel, cheeky and full of flair,
Signs what he wants with style and care.
Jenson joins with courage too,
Showing the world what determination can do.

Different abilities, each child unique,
A tapestry of joy that words cannot speak.
Leanne and Rita guide with care,
Filling the room with love everywhere.

Hand in hand, the children play,
Creating magic in their own way.
In our VIP group, smiles never fade,
A precious circle of friends we’ve made.

🌳 A Reminder About "Forests for All" 🌳

🌳We want to make sure everyone understands who our "Forest for All" sessions are designed for!
🌳This group is open to any child who needs additional support in an outdoor setting.
🌳 This is a very broad category, and you absolutely do not need a formal diagnosis for your child to join us.

Who is this for?
🌈Children with diagnosed needs like ADHD, Autism, or Down Syndrome.
🌈Children who may have undiagnosed developmental delays including learning difficulties
🌈 Children learning English as a Second Language (EAL).
🌈 Children who experience anxiety about social interactions or joining outdoor groups
🌈Or any diagnosis that impacts development

💚Essentially, if you feel your child could benefit from a supportive, inclusive outdoor environment, they are welcome.
💚While we welcome families from across the city and further afield, our current funding is specifically allocated to the South East of Edinburgh (specifically the EH16/EH17 postcode areas).
💚If you live outside of this impact area, we kindly ask for a donation to help us cover the running costs and continue offering this valuable session to the wider community.
💚This session runs thanks to the support of Thrive Outdoors and in collaboration with the The Very Inclusive Play Club & Bridgend Farmhouse

🛖Please note as the weather gets cooler and wetter we have an amazing indoor Eco Bothy which we can use if needed!

🌈Come and join us for some forest fun with Forest for all this saturday 8th November from 10-12pm.
Meeting at Bridgend Farmhouse.
Relaxed specifically designed forest session for children with additional support needs and their families. All welcome.

🌈The VIP has been exploring autumn with our puppet Mr Tree and lots of leaf play.
🍃 Leaves are wonderful for 'ready steady go.... games, identifying colours and sizes and different shapes of the leaves.
🌈We have welcomed many new VIPs to our community this term and have been celebrating many developmental achievements for the VIP children.
🌈We celebrate each child for who they are.
