Its been quite a while since I posted. I have taken some time away to process the loss of someone hugely important to me. Having that time away has allowed me to process my emotions, thoughts and whole sense of self. I now feel ready and resilient enough to re-engage. Without this time to go through the highs and lows of grief, to re-adjust myself to a new way of being, I am sure I would not feel as ready to go forward as I do now.
I was considering...when we are dealing with issues that are uncomfortable, often we can hold things in, push them down deep, saying 'well there's a lot worse off than me', not deal with 'stuff' and allow ourselves to feel rubbish while never really allowing the 'issue' to come up, be dealt with and processed.
My recent experience has shown me that if we give ourselves permission to accept and process the highs & lows of what we are experiencing, healing and peace come much quicker.
