Important Pet Travel Update for UK Owners!

New rules have come into force if you’re travelling with dogs, cats and ferrets from Great Britain to the EU.

EU issued pet passports will no longer be valid for GB residents, even if they were issued prior to 22 April 2026. You will now need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for each trip to the EU.

Please see the government website for more details https://www.gov.uk/taking-your-pet-abroad’

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who are the heart of every veterinary practice – our receptionists 💙🐾

From the moment you walk through the door or pick up the phone, they’re there with a friendly face, a calming voice, and a willingness to help no matter what the day brings. Whether it’s comforting worried pet owners, managing busy appointment books, or juggling emergencies with compassion and care, they truly do it all.

Veterinary receptionists are often the first point of contact and the last friendly goodbye – and everything in between. Their kindness, patience, and dedication never go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything they do for our team, our clients, and their beloved pets.

Join us in saying a huge THANK YOU to our amazing reception team this Veterinary Receptionist Week – we appreciate you more than words can say! 💐🐶🐱

🐾💙 Give Your Pet the Care They Deserve – All Year Round 💙🐾

Keeping your pet happy and healthy shouldn’t be a worry – and with our Healthcare Plan, it doesn’t have to be.

Our plan is designed to spread the cost of your pet’s routine care into simple monthly payments, making it easier to stay on top of their health while avoiding unexpected bills.

✨ What’s included?
• Annual vaccinations
• Regular health checks
• Flea, tick & worming treatments
• Exclusive discounts on selected treatments and services

It’s not just about saving money – it’s about preventative care, catching problems early, and giving your pet the best quality of life.

Whether you’ve got a playful puppy, a curious cat, or a golden oldie, our Healthcare Plan is tailored to support them at every stage 🐶🐱

📞 Speak to our team today or pop into practice to find out more and get signed up!

Because when it comes to your pet’s health, prevention really is better than cure 💚🐾

Please note that due to a signal issue in and around the Englefield Green and Egham areas, we are currently experiencing intermittent problems with our phone lines.

If you are unable to get through, please feel free to email us or visit the practice in person, and our team will be happy to assist with any queries.

We will, of course, keep everyone updated once the issue has been resolved.

Thank you for your understanding.

🍫🐾 Post-Easter Reminder: Chocolate & Pets Don’t Mix! 🐾🍫

With Easter just behind us, many homes still have chocolate treats tucked away – but it’s important to remember that chocolate can be toxic to our pets, especially dogs.

Chocolate contains theobromine, which pets can’t process the way humans can. Even small amounts can cause symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea, restlessness, increased heart rate, and in severe cases, seizures.

⚠️ Please keep all chocolate safely out of reach, including:
• Easter eggs and gift boxes
• Chocolate wrappers (they can still contain residue!)
• Baked goods containing cocoa

If you think your pet may have eaten chocolate, don’t wait – contact your vet straight away. The sooner treatment is started, the better the outcome.

Let’s keep our furry friends safe while we enjoy the last of the Easter treats 💛🐶🐱

If you’re unsure, give us a call – we’re always here to help.

Round of Ap-paws! 👏

We had a very talented visitor in the practice today who decided to show off a special trick… clapping his paws! 🐶

Safe to say he completely stole the show and had the whole team smiling. We think he definitely deserves a round of applause (and maybe a few extra treats too)! 🍬

We love seeing your pets’ personalities shine when they come to visit us. Keep the tricks coming! 💙🐾
