Buddy the Elf and several of our residents at Rivermede Court Care Home thoroughly enjoyed listening to Ben the paramedics, as he played beautiful music for them while his colleague completed her notes.

We are truly grateful for the wonderful paramedics we meet and the outstanding work they do every day. 🚑

It was a pleasure to welcome Dr Ben Spencer, our local MP, to Rivermede Court Care Home today. We greatly appreciated him taking the time to tour the home and speak with our residents. It was particularly encouraging to hear his thoughts on issues important to our community — including the frequently discussed “train gate” in Egham.

Inviting community representatives into the home always enriches our work. We look forward to Ben coming in for one of Robyn's networking breakfast and future events at Rivermede. 😊

At Rivermede Court Care Home, we truly love Christmas. 🎄

This year, our little visitor Buddy the Elf 🧝‍♂️ has been busy exploring and showing off all of our beautifully decorated trees.

For many of our residents, especially those living with dementia, vibrant colours, twinkling lights, and familiar festive sights play a meaningful role in supporting wellbeing. These sensory cues can spark memories, offer comfort, and create a sense of joy and belonging. That’s why we put so much care into making the home feel as warm, welcoming, and festive as possible.🌟

A huge well done to our team and residents who helped decorate them ❤️

Robyn our HAA at Rivermede Court Care Home had a wonderful morning at Pubs and Pastries at the The Fox and Castle in Old Windsor. We enjoyed beautiful carols performed by the local school and were treated to mince pies and doughnuts.

It’s always a pleasure to see Steve Sansom from Age UK Berkshire and to recognise the tremendous work he does to bring people together and raise awareness of dementia. 🎄👏

🎄☕ Rivermede Court Care Home Community Coffee Morning ☕🎄

We had a fantastic turnout this morning! It’s always a pleasure welcoming Home Instead Windsor and Runnymede , and today we were joined by lovely members of the community who came along to hear Beth sing some Christmas songs — and even join in for a festive sing-along! 🎶✨

Our next coffee morning will be on Monday 5th January 2026 if anyone would like to come along. We’d love to see you there! 💛

🎄 Yesterday, Rivermede Court Care Home hosted our Christmas Fair!

We had the most amazing day with our intergenerational choir Jubilee High students joining us to sing with our residents and a beautiful performance from Beth. 🎶✨

A huge thank you to all our wonderful stall holders and to everyone who kindly donated to our raffle and tombola. 🎁❤️

It was also lovely to welcome Margaret, the Mayor of Runnymede, along with her consort Dennis and to see so many friends and family members support us.

We’ll be counting up how much we’ve raised for Thames Hospice over the coming week. 💚🌟

🎭 “He’s behind you!”

Yes… the panto was officially in the house yesterday — Dick Whittington himself paid us a visit! 🐁✨
And you know what that means… 🎅 Christmas is coming, and so is our wonderful Christmas Fair TOMORROW! 🎄🎁

And guess what? Santa himself will be there for the whole day! 🎅✨ So get your wish lists ready!

Our residents had the most incredible time — their laughter filled the room and honestly said it all. ❤️😂
A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring the festive magic (and the giggles!) to life.

We can’t wait to keep the Christmas cheer going — see you at the fair! 🙌✨

✨ What an incredible evening! ✨

Yesterday, we hosted our very first Wreath Making Session, and wow… what a night! 🎄💫
Amazing company, plenty of laughs, a generous amount of cheese & wine 🧀🍷, and of course the star of the show — our legendary homemade mince pies 🥧 .

Every single wreath was absolutely stunning — truly Pinterest-worthy creations! 😍✨
Best of all, all proceeds will be going to Thames Hospice, supporting a cause close to many hearts. 💛
🎁 Missed out? Don’t worry! We’re hosting another session on 6th December — come along, get creative, and enjoy a festive evening with us.
