July to September Highlights at Rivermede Court ๐ถ๐พ๐จ
Summer memories, shared voices, and community celebrations
The summer months brought music, laughter, creativity, and proud milestones to Rivermede Court. Hereโs a look back at three months filled with togetherness and unforgettable moments.
July: Music, Joy, and a Sweet Harvest
July marked the exciting start of our Music Theme, and what a way to begin! We were delighted to accept a musical challenge from Charlie at Mornington Court Care Home, and the result was pure joy. Our minibus turned into a moving concert, filled with singing, laughter, and energy from across our whole community โ residents, family members, doctors, nurses, team members, entertainersโฆ everyone joined in ๐ค๐ถ. There were even tap-dancing attempts โ for some, the very first time in three years โ proving once again that music truly brings people together.
A small but very special victory came from our garden too. For the first time in three years, we successfully harvested 21 plums ๐ (much to our delight and to the disappointment of the pigeons who usually get there first!).
August: Paws, Partnerships, and Shared Memories
August was full of smiles as we hosted our very own Rivermede Court Dog Show ๐๐. What a fantastic event it was โ happiness all around, wagging tails, proud owners, and residents absolutely loving every moment.
We were also joined by residentsโ relatives on our trips, creating beautiful shared experiences and lasting memories together โ moments that truly mean the world.
Music continued to play a huge part in our days, with more singing sessions and collaborations with Thames Hospice, strengthening connections through shared voices and joy.
September: Celebrations, Creativity, and Community Thanks
September was a truly special month as we proudly celebrated Rivermede Courtโs 6th Birthday ๐. We invited our wonderful community to celebrate with us as a heartfelt thank you for their continued support โ and what a celebration it was.
We also took part in Arts in Care Homes for the second year running, going bigger and better than ever. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and made the event so special.
Special appreciation goes to the Jubilee High School Choir, who provided outstanding entertainment and filled our home with beautiful music ๐ต.
We were honoured to have Margaret, Mayor of Runnymede, officially open our Arts in Care Homes event โ a moment of great pride for everyone involved.
๐ From music and milestones to paws, plums, and powerful partnerships, July to September reminded us just how strong our Rivermede Court community truly is. Thank you to everyone who continues to share this journey with us. ๐๐
