After our busiest year yet (Thankyou so much!🫶), the LGEyecare team is heading off for a well-earned Christmas break!

It’s been a brilliant year — welcoming Donna & Kathryn to the team, cheering Sarah on as she smashes her optometry studies, and celebrating Fran’s Inspiring Leader of the Year award at the Eyecare Awards 🏆✨

The team at LG Eyecare enjoyed their Christmas day out on Saturday (some about more than others 🤣🥴) and sampled some of the great businesses Elgin have to offer!

Started off at where we watched the classic Home Alone (Lloyd's first time ever watching this 😲😵‍💫) followed by a trip to the superb to sample the many, many delights and then on to Krua Thai by Charoennet for an unbelievable meal. Finished the night off with great cocktails at IV30 . Elgin really has so many fantastic businesses with service to match even at the busiest time of the year.

Thank goodness we have Monday's off however 🥴😂

No tricks here, but definitely new treats in practice! We have a fantastic new brand just delivered this week in

Etnia Barcelona are an independent eyewear brand from Barcelona creating colourful designs with natural acetate. We like to think we have picked some extremely great options for our lovely patients, so why not give us a call on 01343 631145 to come see them!

We fortunately have the lovely Kathryn and Mark (who created the superb window display on this occasion) to model some of the frames (Kathryn got 2 photos as she was being picky!)

And not to forget our resident in store pumpkins - Prudence and Percy who also rocked the colourful models 👓

📢We’re thrilled to share some exciting news!

Our Amazing Dispensing Optician Liam Dey has been nominated and shortlisted for this year’s Scottish Optometry Awards for the category Dispensing Optician of the Year. 👓

We all know just how hard Liam works at LGEyecare and that he is an amazing Dispensing Optician, but in addition to his exceptional dispensing skills, care and attention to detail when helping our patients with their frame choices and generally keeping both eyes on everything that’s going on and needs attention in the practice, he is also the funniest member of our Team and never fails to make us all laugh ALOT on a daily basis. His razor sharp wit and epic one liners keep everyone going, even on the toughest days! 😂

We’re so proud and lucky to have him in our wee Happy Team. 💚
Liam, we’re really looking forward to getting behind you and supporting you on awards night in Glasgow on the 15th November.

After a very busy few months our Practice will be closed for 1 week so that our Team can have a very well-deserved rest.

👀 We had a fantastic time at Elgin Academy Careers Day speaking with the S3-S6 students about the exciting opportunities in Optics and Optometry and showcasing just how rewarding a career in Optics can be. 👓✨
It was inspiring to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm and we hope we've sparked an interest in a few Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians and Optical Assistants along the way!
Thankyou to all @ Elgin academy and DYW Moray for your very warm welcome. We really enjoyed our time with you.

Hi everyone Sarah here (Optical Assistant/Student Optometrist)

Not being a spectacle wearer myself (until my most recent eye test), I am most familiar with my professional role at LG Eyecare however last week I was solely a mum whose child was a patient at the practice. Our lovely visiting locum Yasmine was professional, patient and kind whilst carrying out my son’s first full eye test.
Dispensing Optician Mark did a great job fitting his glasses and even shortened the sides of his favourite pair to fit him properly.
It was lovely to experience the service we always strive to provide from the other side.

Not to mention how absolutely adorable he looks in his funky new Wolf Eyewear glasses. He’s delighted!
